Sorry how long is a piece of string?
Processing can be anywhere from a couple of days to 6, 7, 8 months. It depends on the background of the person(s).

If your husband has only lived in UK and has a clean record it will take less time. The kids shouldnt take too long. The more places people have lived, the longer checks can take.

Hopefully yours goes smoothly.

Ahhh no, that can only be called from in Canada. Are you the sponsor or the applicant?

Hi pinklady I sent e mail to Cic lon and recvied e mail from Cic lon say your case is in process for ppr . Pls you could tell when they finish back ground check I sent request doc on 7 feb any my case transfer to lon office on 18 oct 2011 pls help me

I have seen a number posted on this forum somewhere, i'll try and did it out.

Otherwise is there someone in Canada who could call and pretend to be you? (they won't give info to anyone but the sponsor)

I can't tell you when they will finish. All I know is background checks take longer for non EU citizens.
Perhaps another 1-2 months.
I know its hard but try and be patient. It'll be worth it in the end!

I think you need to be patient a little bit as the background checks takes longer for non-eu. That is exactly what my wife's MP has informed us a couple of days ago. My applic has been in process since 26 jan 2012 and that is after i was done with the interview. The interview officer said it was approved and it had to go through backgroud checks before they issue the visa. And since then they have been working on it. I called one weak ago and it looks like l have to wait till the end of this month. so be informed that for us who are not from eu the background checks takes a little bit longer. If you dont hear back any thing in two months, you better involve your MP in Canada...

Thanks balouch bhai. How r u. I have got ppr . Just waiting for thursday. But till i dont get visa in hand i m in dark and trust me these four painfull year of my life i cant forget it. My wife is coming any way . I will be there at the end of this month or ist week of next month inshallah. Keep in touch . And tell me what should i do i was waiting to do my masters now i will do it from canada.inshallah .
