No. Is the file number the one that starts with a letter coz thats the only 2 i've got the UCI number and an application number.

Me again. Tried the File number is it still not finding my file. Now UCI and File number not working. What is happening?! ???

Hi everyone,

Just a quick question....

We about to send the application off for common-law sponsorship, and just wondering as my girlfriends has had a UCI number before due to having two working holiday visas. - do we reference this number or will CIC give her a new number?

You have the same UCI number for everything and stays with you! As such I put my UCI on my application for PR as it was clearly stated on my initial working holiday visa.

We did put her UCI # on the form, the "what if" questions came to me, that I wanted to make sure we had right.

Absolute pleasure. I was only informed of this when I went for my medical tests and my doctor happened to glance over at my paperwork and see that I hadn't filled it in. She then explained to me that your UCI stays associated with you forever.

Visitor Extension

Afternoon All,

Quick one (hopefully)...

I sent off the 'Visitor extension' Form back in July as my previous one was due to expire at the end of Sept 2012. We requested the extension until March 8th 2013 (6 months).

We still have not heard anything back. They are currently working on applications received in Sept BUT have 116 days processing time from then.

What are we supposed to do? Do we just wait until we hear back?
We are just about to send off our 'Common-Law' Application pack this week too. Will this be affected?

Personally i think we just wait until we hear back and continue to send off our 'Common-law' pack.

Just want to clarify as do not want to ruin anything...

Your not the only one having issues someone over in the August thread was having problems too. Just wait it out, it will probably be fixed tomorrow

just wondering if the documents that do not apply to your application/relationship, such as Additional Dependants/Declaration (IMM0008DEP) and Use of a Representative (IMM 5476) - have to be included, or do you just leave them out completely and do not tick the box on the checklist?

Just leave them out and do not tick the boxes on the checklist. They will realise that they do not apply to your situation!

You will have implied status until you get a decision however if you only applied for 6 months and it is up in March you will probably have to reapply this month for another 6 months to start in March. Since you are in Canada telephone CIC call centre, they will be able to advise you.
