Hi all,
I'm a March 2018 applicant, LVO. Time-line in my signature.

I've also received PFL, pre-arrival, request for an updated Schedule A & police certificates.

Wanted to know whether biometrics will be requested too at any stage of the application.

Generally requested around the same time as the medical, but can be requested anytime.

Can I do them upfront to save time?

Are they requested from all applicants?

My understanding is they are requested for most if not all.​

I've downloaded the spreadsheet but everytime I try to open the 'LON 2018' page I get a blank table! All other pages seem to be working fine. Which link is the right one? Thanks!

No need to dpownload it, just click on the link. I suggest you look at the '2018' tab instead, the arrays on LON2018 don't seem to be working properly.

Hey, how r u? I see you are from October and still waiting for your biometrics even after transfer? Did they send u request to pay for it?

They never asked for biometrics. I wasn't sure whether they were going to ask for them until I saw this link. According to the info contained it seems they'll never ask for them from those who submitted their applications before July/December, myself included.

It also depends what country you are from. For me, even though I applied in November they asked to pay biometrics fee. Here is the link for you, you can easily find out if you need to give biometrics or not... http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/biometrics.asp Good luck to you

That's correct, it depends on country and when you submitted your application. The link you shared is for future applicants.
Which country are you from, if you don't mind me asking?

They asked for your biometrics because applicants from countries in Europe, the Middle East and Africa since July 31, 2018 need to provide biometrics which applies to your case. Best of luck to you!

I have a bad timelines since my case is complicated.
November 7- received,
February 7- sponsor approval,
February 19- medical request and done it on February 22.
Done

I also had many updates in February.
Here is my timeline
October 11- app. received
February 7- AOR
February 10- SA
February 20 AOR 2 ( file transferred to London VO email for further processing and PR application started to process)
February 21 biometrics request email
February 22 biometrics done
April 16 medical request
April 17 medical done
April 20 medical passed on ECAS
Since then nothing from London VO.

Was your file transferred to local VO ?

Sadly, this is the issue, it was not transferred. It sits in Sydney. Maybe some special security check they do, I do not know. But why your file in London? And not Kiev or Warsaw? You probably stay in a different country than Ukraine?[/QUOTE
I've heard that sometimes they proces and finalize applications at Sydney too or send them to local VO at the latest stage to finalize. So, don't stress too much about it)
I have been staying in Warsaw for the last 5 years, but I put my Ukrainian address in the application as I am going to move back to Ukraine soon and wait for a decision there.
Why London? No idea! It was quite surprised for us too. Anyway, I know that they might send applications to VO different than your local one for work redistribution and even can move your file from one local VO to another during the process for the same reason. So, that is quite normal.
No biometrics request for you either?

I got it. I hope mine will not be sent to London just Kiev is fast... not sure about Warsaw... no, when we sent our application we did not pay for biometrics, and only they requested to pay for it on 7-th of February. Didn’t send us a letter with instructions... I am not stressing, just time... good luck to you oxana! Hope pr soon will fly to us

As a Vietnamese citizen, you will need a specific tourist visa to enter Canada, are you saying you already have one?? Only it is unlikely that you would be granted a tourist visa for Canada now that you have applied for PR if you do not already have a visa.

You complete your pack and answers based on now, so you correctly stated you are resident in the UK. If you move or change address (or even country) you merely have to advised CIC of your change of address, perfectly normal and will not affect your application.
