Just checked and MyCIC is showing Decision Made!!!!

Not too sure when it happened, as I've been trying to not check 3 times a week (ha!) but eagerly await the official letter!

Hi! I'm new here and just wanted to add my details

I'm from Scotland, currently living in Glasgow. My (common-law) partner is Canadian and moved back there last month after her 2 year work visa ended here in the UK. I'm just waiting now...

Application received: May 9, 2016
Sponsor approved: June 3, 2016
Started processing application: June 10, 2016 (in progress)
London Visa Office

My original medical was done on Feb 15, 2016 and about two weeks ago they requested another medical and more passport photos, which i completed last week. Does that suggest anything good/bad?

One question though, as the other half has himself in a complete state of panic because he's convinced that the letter is going to say he's been declined. What is the likelihood that we've been declined? We only had one request for one missed document at the end of September, and had no other issues with the application. We didn't have to send any more photos, or medical, or attend an interview etc, so I really don't think it's been declined.

Does anyone know the process if it has been declined? I'm not worried about it, but I'm just trying to put his mind at ease until we get COPR

Odd that you did your med so much earlier than your submission, perhaps that's why they want another. But I would see the recent request for additional information as a very good sign. They are actively working on your papers and both of these are 'yes' signs IMHO. You are around the time I would expect to see a 'decision made' - so maybe 3-4 weeks???

I assume you only have 'decision made' on ECAS? Do you have access / have you registered with MyCIC? MyCIC will tell you what the decision is.

But honestly - one of you is a Canadian and can prove it right? You are CL, so can demonstrate that you have lived together for at least one year right? Well then you are in - all the rest is just 'body-weight worth of paperwork' nonsense you have to go through!

All they have asked for is one missing form and now you have DM? Look - that is 99.9999999% approval. If they had any concerns about your CL relationship, they would have asked for a LOT more information and / or called you in for an interview. Tell your other half to pop the cork and pour the bubbly - the COPR should be with you within a week!

We had a lawyer help us with the application and just did everything when he gave us instruction to. After I did the medical I guess we were a bit slow in getting all the other things together to be sent away! I didn't realise it was super early haha. That's cool though, hopefully it won't take too much longer

Mine shows as background check not started, so 'in progress' is probably new for you. This tends to be the last step.

Dunno why eligibility review is still showing as in progress - all of this additional information via MyCIC is still relatively new to everyone.

Hey guys, I sent an additional document (a scan of my birth certificate) via my fiancee's Dad and it got there last week via post. Should I expect any notification? Canada Post said it was delivered but I haven't had an e-mail or anything from CiC - Do they acknowledge this kind of thing?
