Hi everyone,

I am new to the forum but I have found all your experiences very useful and hope-inspiring!

I am submitting my outland application today so we will see what happens.

My husband is Canadian and I have US and French nationality (I dunno if that complicates things or not). We just got married on August 20th in France after dating and living together for several years. I am currently on visitor status in Toronto. I had already done the med exam and requested the police clearance in April because we were going to apply under common law to get the application in sooner but we were told by a customs officer on a trip to Canada to just wait until we were married. So that is what we did.

Has anyone here received an email with a UCI and file number starting with F, and received it as the principal applicant, before the sponsor has received any news? I'm the applicant an I got the email with the numbers and them confirming they received the app in mississugua. This happened to anyone else?

Are you sure this wasn't the AOR from the visa office? Don't think Mississauga assigns an F number to file (they only deal with sponsorship portion), plus the fact that CPC-Miss always sends approval to sponsor. What I received from CPC-M only went to my sponsor. What was the full text of your message?

Right, that's the automated email message that Buffalo has been using recently as its AOR, but it's sent out just from "CIC." Look at the bottom of the message where the signature part is. It should say:

Is there page numbers I can go to so I can see others who have received a email similar to this? I find it odd that my wife (the sponsor) never got an email for it, or letter. And she can't even log into ecas using the receipt number an her name.

Got a message from the ecas tracker... The tracker can not locate me in the system. I logged into the CIC site, and it still says "application received"... Is the tracker glitching on anyone else?

Nope, not a peep from the tracker and no updates on ecas.
