Got it today. The email came from "re-los-angeles-im-enquiry"

Also, the RPRF fee, I think I paid for this at the beginning no? I paid like 1000 for the application. Do I just forward the receipt to them?

If you paid the RPRF you need to send the VO a copy of your receipt and also contact CPC-M and ask them to update your file to indicate that the RPRF was paid. The VO will not go just on your receipt, it is up to CPC-M to ensure it is properly recorded in GCMS.

I'm hoping soon too!! Hubby is dying to work, plus he really needs to see a dentist and a doctor soon (Thankfully, dentist is covered under my insurance...ONLY if he's a PR *grumbles*)

Come on LA, Summer Vacation is over, back to work!!!!

He still has to wait 3 months to be covered under medicare here but I wonder if he will be able to be under my insurance as medicare covers a portion of things...He needs to go see a doctor, a dentist, a chiroprator and a massage wouldn't hurt lol

Does anyone have the contact number? Or do I need to contact through mail. Will CPC-Ottawa be able to take care of it?

My husband just paid the RPRF and sent it to Ottawa, should we have sent it to CPC-M instead?

I ended up calling 1-888-242-2100 (1,1,1,1,0) and talked to agent. She verified my stuff was paid for. She said basically send a copy of your receipt and a cover letter.

Prior to the call, I emailed both Los Angeles VO, and Ottawa. I just got this reply from LA.
Dear Applicant,

The Right of Landing fee has been paid. The passport, height and eye colour and photos are required to finalize your case.

Sincerely,
So I emailed ottawa and told them to disregard my email.

I guess the LA visa office are sending out generic emails. Mine says the RPRF was a requirement.

Dear Applicant,

We are pleased to inform you that the processing of your application for permanent residence in Canada has been completed.

You are required to submit your passport(s), photographs and Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF) within the next sixty (60) days from the date of this letter. As the validity of your visa(s) has been already established and is limited to a fixed date, it CANNOT be extended under any circumstances. We therefore urge you to read and follow carefully the instructions below without delay:
.
.
.

Right of
Permanent
Residence Fee
Every principal applicant and his/her accompanying spouse/common law partner is required to pay a Right of Permanent Resident Fee (RPRF) in the amount of $490.00 CAD (or $490.00 USD).

The RPRF must be submitted to this office in the form of a money order, certified cheque or bank draft payable to the “Consulate General of Canada” in USD OR to the “Receiver General of Canada” in CAD. NOTE: Fee paid at a financial institution in Canada or fee paid online is not acceptable.
The RPRF will be refunded if for any reason you do not immigrate to Canada.
More information is available at http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/los_angeles/visas/fees-frais.aspx
Oh well, all is good.
