Same here applied July 21, 2011. FWD to buffalo on SEP 28,2011, In process since April 9,2012. GCMS notes request as of May 28, 2012 shows background check has not even started. Called MP in August 2012 and he was not sure if the background check have even started. I am guessing it would be atleast until January 2013 for CORP. Med have already expired don't want to spend 500$ for med unless Ottawa tells me too and if they want the med done again I guess I should expect to wait even longer then Jan 2013. Anyhow nothing we can do except use this time wisely and try to forget that we have even filed the application for a while.

My thoughts exactly - I've gone through the panic stage - excitement stage - depressed stage, now at the 'resigned to hear whenever we hear' stage.

My meds expired a long time ago and now fully expect to be asked to do them again, but, like you, am waiting just in case they take pity (pfffft fat chance).

I have something pretty ironic to share!!! I was getting worried as a few fellow march applicants were going in process some applied after us...I decided to e-mail Ottawa last tuesday about my file to see if they had received my CSQ and if we were in process in Ottawa. I got an e-mail back from Ottawa on friday August the 24th that said they could not trace my CSQ and to e-mail it or fax them a copy and so my lawyers did. I just check ECAS and guess what...WE are in PROCESS!! But guess as of which date......AUGUST 24TH!! Coincidence or not??? None the less I'm super happy!!!

Hey g-man, just wanted to update my info on the spreadsheet. My wife's sponsorship was approved, and my file was sent to Ottawa 7/27.

ECAS has still not been updated, is there any reason to believe it will be updated at all?

I know that some people have been transfered to LA; has anyone been transfered to any of the other satellite offices? I requested NYC for my interview (if I need one), and was curious if it's possible that my file might be transfered to that one.

ECAS is REALLY finicky. It takes forever to update it but it should eventually be updated. Some people landed and their ECAS still shows "DM" or "AIP".

I cant believe it I am finally in process!!! Even officially on ECAS!!! I wonder how long it will take now.....I HOPE not too much longer!!! Can anyone share how long it took from the time it went to in process to the time of getting the PPR? Thank you!!!

Woohoo that means we are all in process what date is listed on ECAS as to when they started processing your file?

So my sponsor called CIC just now and they said they haven't even opened my package yet. That if we haven't seen online that they have opened it in the next couple days (which there is no way we can because he has no client ID) to call back because they are working on apps around our time. Been 101 days since sent/97 since received. Most of June is already completed - Even PPRs.... such BS. :\
