OK another email directly from Buffalo

We are now in a passport to request your passport!!!!

We want to go to Buffalo, today! OK, maybe Thursday. Can we?

Do we have to have to wait for snail mail?

I'M SO EXCITED.

I'm a late April, early May applicant. I definitely agree this gives one hope. I also hope CIC takes care of the earlier people still waiting. Congrats to Cindy.

Start of a very good week for Buffalo - I just got my PPR as well!!!!! Nearly fell off the sofa.... my husband started his job today, was enjoying my first real day of housewifery and now I gotta get out.

So now comes an onslaught of questions. I am about 40 minutes away from Buffalo so am planning on going there for the Visa. I have a US car and am really confused as to what I should do.

I know I have to have it there for 3 business days in order to export. Can I go next Tuesday, drop it off and get a rental, pick up my Visa and claim it as goods to follow? Then pick it up on Friday and drive it back over? Or would it be best to wait the following week (Id do next week but Monday is a holiday and I know they are strict about it being 3 business days) drop it off on Monday, come back over still as a visitor, and then do my Visa on Thursday?

Ahhhhhhh!

Also, does anyone have the best link for all the paperwork and info? My head is spinning so much I can't really follow.

Oh see I just took the other person's word for it without looking Well, that's even better. By the way, if the PPR came via email you should not be expecting something via snail mail. It should have all the instructions there for you, including what to take. I believe someone posted earlier in detail about coming to Buffalo on Tuesday or Thursday morning to get the visas in person. I hope that goes smoothly if you do choose to do that. Personally, I'm gonna mail it in because it will not be possible for me to go all the way there on a weekday.

I'm outside of Toronto on a one year visitor's visa while waiting for my PPR. I drove my car up from Texas. I'd love to find out what you had to do concerning your car.

@mmshock - you are the more recently applying person to get PPR (furthest down on the spreadsheet) so far so this gives me a lot of hope. Good job this week, Buffalo. Let's keep it up! ;D

mmshock got their PPR and they applied March 30th so that still gives us a little hope that they may be getting closer to April/May fingers crossed!!

Yes - you can definitely go Thursday. My husband received the email on a Friday and went the following Tuesday to Buffalo. And no - you don't have to wait for snail mail. The email is sufficient (my husband never received an actual letter). Congrats!
