Congrats funkygunner, at least we know that London is moving quite well now, they are sending out PPRs and requests for additional information.

Spacey, am sure your application won't get sent to bottom of the pile, especially if they've specifically asked for that one final form.

Congrats funkygunner, I am so happy that there is finally some movement on this thread. Was starting to get painful. What does your timeline look like?

Wow... except for PPR that is the same timeline as us... feeling even more stupid about this form at the moment... Can't help but wonder if that would have been a ppr email instead had we not screwed up.

congrats hope you are able to land soon :D

Sorry to hear about the missing form spacey, but it sounds like once London receive it, you should be hearing about a PPR soon too! :)

Hello Everyone,
Spookily similar timeline to funkygunner.....

Application received on 6th October 2010 by Mississauga
Sponsorship approved letter sent on November 4th, and application forwarded to London
"In Process" in London on 24th of November (on eCas)
"Decision Made" 18th January 2011 (on eCas)
PPR received by email today (!!!)on 19th January 2011

Yippeee!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have two questions though:
1) I think I have 3 years left on my current UK passport. What happens to the PR visa when I renew the passport?
2) The PPR says not to quit work until you have the visa, but I want to quit tomorrow! Do you really think I need to wait until I get passport back?

Hi Timetogo

1. 3 years still ok, no need to renew it. i think it depends to the country, in my country they ask for valid passport 6 months before the expiration date. they dont let people send passport that close to expiration dates. So before sending your passport you'll have to renew it. When you already have the visa it is only one time entry.

2) About quiting job, I guess thats your own decision. If you really feels that you'll never having problem with the visa processing then you can quit and wait for the visa but for sure you dont want to take a risk. My husband just resigned recently the embassy-philippines ask for his passport already and he wants to take some vacation before he come here. and i hope we have it soon :)

Hello everyone,
I am new to this forum but have been reading some of the posts...just a question to those who have received the PPR letter. Was everyone's eCAS updated to reflect that the application was 'in process'? We sent our application in October, received a letter saying I was approved as a sponsor on November 15th, and that our file was being transferred to the London office...and absolutely nothing since, not even an update on eCAS...is this normal??? I'm getting so anxious - we need to have the PPR letter by mid-March in order for my husband to apply for a job here, otherwise it will mean another year apart.

Any info would be much appreciated!

Congrats on your PPR, London is getting really busy by the looks of it. Don't worry about your visa in your passport, its only used once to land, and then you get your PR card which you will need to use not the Visa. Its up to you for quitting, but if you have to work your notice and give notice to other things maybe factor that into the decision. Are you planning on moving straight away?

Hi Daisy, just to let you know I received my PPR letter on 5 January and my eCas still doesn't say in progress or anything. I just can't log on with any of my information, just see my husband's sponsorship approval on 19th November. Hope your husband gets his letter soon.
