Well, they have updated the times and said they are:

(working on applications received on October 22, 2010)

That is when mine got there so hopefully I'm close to hearing something back!

its usually a while from the time you get approved and you get your aor
i know for moscow its about 40-45 days

So excited I’ve just been messaged and told that the Sponsorship letter has been received and yes, it was approved! I know that it would probably all be okay and approved, but to know that the letter has been received makes me feel so much better!

And so with a very happy heart on this Friday evening, congrats to MikeUK for your DM, and yes, so frustrating when they don’t update ecas the minute your decision is made – but very good that you’ve finally got it!

Congrats also to Filipina for your DM. Hopefully the letter will get to the right place, if it doesn’t arrive in a week, I’d give them a call, say decision has been made and just ask for confirmation. I would also update the address on ecas.

Hopefully everyone else will get their DM this week, even if ecas isn’t quite updated just yet.

With In Process on ecas, from the last few months threads I’ve been going through, not all visa offices seem to update it to in process, and from what I’ve seen London and a few other visa offices don’t send out AOR, which is a pain, but at least we then know we shouldn’t be worried when we don’t receive them.

Good luck all for another great week of approvals and seeing things moving along!

;D

But just to safe your side u must call cic by phone and ask them to correct your adress nd also resend you letter incase if they send it to wrong adress.

Cheers

1) No, your client ID has nothing to do with your receipt number. The client ID they are asking for is your sponsor's client ID, and he won't have that if he's a Canadian citizen by birth. But it's their automated system that asks for a client ID; there should be another option available when you call them that lets you talk to a live agent.

2) Most times, decision made for sponsorship apps at CPC-M does mean approved, BUT there's no way to know 100% for sure until you receive that letter. :) Just be patient and keep your hopes up. I'm sure you'll receive it. A slight error in postal code isn't enough to make Canada Post deliver it to the wrong address; it just might take a little longer than usual to get to you.

Hi KelKel - so you got the letter on friday 26th?does it say when the local office received the file and started in-process . and does you're ecas state in-progress yet ?

Hi Enforcer, the letter is stamped November 17th and my ecas was updated on the 23rd. Every office seems to have different timelines for doing things. Hopefully you hear something soon. Can you see your sponsorship approval on ecas yet?

Yep, i was able to log into ecas with wife's client ID and it said they received my app on 6th Oct and letter was sent on decision- i got the letter on 19th nov which was dated 4th Nov - so they must have made the decision at the end of oct or early nov and forwarded the app to singapore rather then london. Nothing was been updated on ecas after the sponsors DM which still says not Available on the the status for Permanent Residence Application . . . Am i right in thinking the AOR has a new client ID which the applicant logs in with his/her details ?

Technically it isn't a client ID, since those are only used by CIC offices within Canada. It's the applicant's file number at the overseas office processing their application. But yes, once you get AOR (and therefore the file number), that file number is what you should be using to log into the applicant's e-CAS and to correspond with that office. However, you will (should) always be able to also see the applicant's e-CAS info from the sponsor's e-CAS anyway.

And as a sidenote, I'm still waiting for an in-process update on e-CAS...

I am angel from kenya and applied on oct 5th and still patiently waiting from cic m. my hubby is kenyan born canadian
