Wakeup October Applicants!

Mine is on Oct-13 so Don't have anything yet, Is there any news after Oct-6??? Any letters?? ECAS?? Calls??
Any of approved members have received any Call from CIC-M before Approval??? Do they really call before approving or denying??
I have my finger crossed for good news this week or early next week!

Nope. My app should have been received by October 6, but I still can't even log into e-CAS. No word yet at all.

And no, you don't get a call from Mississauga before approval/denial. You don't hear anything until they make the decision, at which point you should be able to log into your e-CAS and see "Decision Made", and then you have to wait awhile to receive notification from them by mail saying whether it was approved or denied.

I'm an American living with my Canadian common law partner in Toronto. I sent my common law - in Canada - application in at the beginning of october, but I was wondering if I can go to Seattle for my roommates wedding in January. I read a few times that I can't leave Canada until after my application has been processed.

Does anyone know anything about this? I can't imagine that I really can't leave Canada at all for an undefined period of time.

Sorry, I'm so clueless on how to use threads and posts and everything. Obviously I will check back on this website to see if anyone replies, but if it wouldn't be too much trouble, my email address is angileri21@hotmail.com and that would be a million times easier for me!

Recieved my Sponsorship approval letter this morning dated nov 04, and everything has been passed on to London.
Hope we start getting some updates soon from everyone else!

Nothing updated yet from my side!! Is it worth calling into the call centre? been 35 days already....

tonight the ecas will be updated with what date mississauga is up to

For those waiting my decision was made on friday but i couldn't log into ecas till sunday... its unlikely you would get anyhting over the weekend so hopefully tomorrow we will start hearing some more and ecas will let you on.

Still no e-CAS update. It's interesting to note that, despite some of the early approvals, CIC's website still says they're only processing applications received up to October 1: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm-fc.asp.

Whether that means the people approved early just got lucky with their files getting seen, OR that CIC is just lazy about updating their website, is anybody's guess.
