But Its the same like one on cic.gc.ca.
ecas.carroll.org.uk

Dmitri whats good about it is it sends you an email when there is an update or any changes on your application on Ecas. This way you don't have to be logging into Ecas every 5 minutes to see if anythings changed!

What doesnt make sense is people that are able to get into ecas using client id for exaple are not able to log in using receipt number.i thought once ecas is updated u are able to log on using any of the methods ie receipt number id, number record of landing number etc
I assume that's how it's supposed to work, but that's not always how it actually pans out. Especially since there are old threads lying around about people who were never able to use their receipt number, even after their file was finished processing. Their e-CAS just wouldn't let them in unless they had their client ID or file number, which obviously we don't get until we've had something mailed to us.

And of course, there's my own oddity: can't log in to the sponsor's e-CAS at all with the receipt number, but I can get into mine (applicant's) with my client ID--but no updates yet.

An update:

Strange turn of events. My app should have been received by CIC by October 6, since our consultant said he mailed it off by October 4. (He's in Burlington, it only takes 1 day to get to Mississauga, 3 days if only using regular mail.)

However, I received the following e-CAS update tonight from matthewc's e-CAS Tracker, using my sponsor's info:

"We received your application to sponsor ************ on October 12, 2010.

We sent you a letter on November 9, 2010 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
"

I'm annoyed that there has obviously been a mix-up somewhere about WHEN they received it, which meant a delay. It almost makes me wonder if it either got delayed because of a postal problem, or got mixed up with later applications when it got sorted at CIC after arrival somehow. But the good news is that if they DID "receive" it on October 12, they processed it very quickly. :) Good news for the rest of you with similar dates. I just have to wait longer than anticipated to receive the actual letter in the mail.

Might as well change my app filed date in the table too, huh? ::)

About the client ID: My husband (sponsor) does not have a client ID, since he is a Canadian citizen by birth. He will be given a client ID when they mail the sponsorship letter to us. I had my own client ID already because I was issued a visitor's record 4 years ago, and the visitor record had a client ID number on it.

About the receipt number: Yes, you can use your receipt number Rxxxxxxxxx to check your status online. It might not actually let you log in for awhile, though. It didn't work for me (using my sponsor's info) until they had already reached "decision made" on my sponsorship application and mailed the decision off to us. Remember to use your receipt number along with your sponsor's personal information in order to access e-CAS. Your own information (applicant) won't work with e-CAS until your file has been opened at the overseas visa office, i.e. Manila for you.

new update.

Thanks JMA.

did you pay online? or in a bank. i paid online and my recipet starts with R. but as per CIC
Receipt Number (IMM 5401)

You will find this number on the document that was filled out and stamped when you paid your fees at a financial institution or on the official receipt you obtained when you paid your fees on the Internet. Your "Receipt Number (IMM 5401)" starts with a letter, followed by nine numbers. (Example: B000000000).

I called Call Center to Inquire about application Status and unfortunately, Part of my spouse application was returned due to missing signature and information on back of Photograph. She told me everything else is fine and they have kept the fee which means they have accepted my sponsor application. I am in Mississauga and hoping to receive it early next week and planning on submitting again on November 20th. One of my cousin is coming back with these signed form and additional pictures.
I was also worried about this photo issue but totally ignored this signature in additional family information section B Where she putted Not Applicable..

Goodluck everyone and will keep you all fellows posted!

I spoke to my consultant, and the mystery of why CIC says they received my app on October 12 is explained. They definitely received it by the 6th or 7th, as our consultant mailed it off via FedEx. Unfortunately that means they would have received it just before the weekend, and CPC-M can take a few days to register a package as "received" sometimes, especially if just before the weekend. Add to that the fact that it was a long weekend (Monday was Thanksgiving in Canada), and it makes sense that our package wasn't registered with their system until October 12 (day after Thanksgiving).

Anyhow, I've changed my "app filed" date to October 12 to reflect this. Whoever's keeping the October table updated will probably update my dates whenever they get to it.

@ JMA:

Yep, just like waitingforwife has shown in the quote from CIC, it's okay if your receipt starts with a different letter. It should still work, once your file details are entered into the system.

@ Saisn:

:( Aww, sorry to hear about the missing signature fiasco. It's good news that they say everything else is fine, though. Here's to hoping you have a speedy processing period once you re-apply! :)

I am dreading our application being returned...the process takes so long. Haven't seen my wife since July :(

Hang in there Jeff... This is the last step in you guys being together. If they they do send it back just think its a chance to fix it rather than a denial. Some countries dont' give you the chance to fix the problem.
