i got kind of nervous when i saw you had post on the thread earlier....was hoping it was your sponsor approval....im sure we will know this week sometime, hopefully anyway!

Under the PR application status header it says "application received. After clicking that, all it says is "We received XXXXXXXXX's application for permanent residence on April 7, 2011."

Same here.... Mine reads exactly the same way "application received". However, the links found under the "decision made" section for sponsorship said they had forwarded the application to the visa office and the letter we received in the mail stated specifically that our office was: Buffalo. I'm just putting those together and assuming it has arrived in Buffalo. I hope that's what it means!

And I hope Buffalo does have a fancy new system that will help us speed through this process!

For those wondering why they can't log onto ecas yet, I just wanted to say it took almost a week after I recieved my sponsorship approval to be able to log onto ecas.

Hi all,

Does anyone know how long after receiving the sponsorship approval (4.20.2011) will there be any updates in ecas under Perm Res App Status? I thought I would see an update by now indicating the application was sent to the UK or that its being worked on.

i checked ecas and it said nothing abt either they send file to islamabad or not. why they dont update. however my husband called them and they said that they have sent the file to isl. :

My husband just phoned me at work... I got an email saying that I have been approved as his sponsor!!!!! I am SOOOO relieved... I was getting very worried since they started processing our file on the 28th!!

So they said that they forwarded our file to Buffalo today. What's the normal turn-around to get the file FROM Mississauga TO Buffalo? Er... maybe I should ask that in the Buffalo thread .

Anyway... thanks for all the help so far everyone, and the support and commisseration. I will be happy when all the March applicants hear something finally.

Now the real sweating begins!

Hey irishnova - like your avatar!! My husband and I are huge U2 fans - we met online on a U2 website, and have travelled to see them 19 times in the past couple of years! Leaving this weekend to see 3 more shows in Mexico City.

YES!! The boys and I are driving to Calgary as soon as school is finished. I am hoping to have things settled before I have to consider coming back to the states in the fall!!! I have my fingers, toes, eyes and heart strings crossed that everything will cruise along very fast!! We are going through Denver to visit my X-inlaws on our way. I will think of you!
