PS - Nothing is updated online, it still reports that they are not able to identify me. The email had a client ID number.... Can i use this to check now? With my sponsors info or with mine?

Go to check application status
Follow the prompts and enter the client number you received with your sponsorship approval letter.
Enter the sponsor's info - birthdate, country of birth etc. and it will pull the info up.

Hmmmmm... still not showing up using Sponsor's info with client ID or receipt number. BUT - I did get that glorious e-mail so won't sweat it until later in the week. I guess these online systems can be glitchy...... right?

Hubs just got our sponsorship approval e-mail! Woop woop!
And whats really funny is that this is the ONE day in the past week I haven't even checked to see if I can long into ecas.

Does the update specifically mention Buffalo? I was just checking our ecas, which now shows our "application recieved" date as April 7th, but doesn't mention location. Neither of us received an email notification either...

how did you log into ECAS without hearing from CIC?
where did you get the refrence/client ID number?

application files a log time ago, prob should ahve heard something by now, maybe you should call them?

im sure the file was recieved in buffalo and is in process. i read somewhere here recently that buffalo system was being upgraded, maybe thats why you havent got an e-mail from them?

i got kind of nervous when i saw you had post on the thread earlier....was hoping it was your sponsor approval....im sure we will know this week sometime, hopefully anyway!

same thing here-- i m yet to hear anything from CPC-M, some have their sponsorship approved in 20 days and some are waiting for more than 40 days--i think it depends on various factors--person handling the application, number of applications received, public holidays etc. currently they are taking 44 days for first stage approval, let's see if this week brings the good news for us march-ers!

ECAS says "visa office" which would be the one your application was sent to. i.e. Buffalo for me.

Under the PR application status header it says "application received. After clicking that, all it says is "We received XXXXXXXXX's application for permanent residence on April 7, 2011."
