dunno why !! :S

Hello March :)

I am getting just a little nervous...my husband and I received our spons. approval on April 1st and have not had an update on ECAS or any communication that Buffalo has receive our application. I have looked on the forum at everyones timeline in February and it looks as though most people got confirmation of the application being received in about 2 weeks. It has been almost a month and I am a little worried....

I know that AOR takes awhile to get, but I have a gut feeling that we should've had an update since most people have thiers after about 2 weeks...

Hello March Applicants!

We're a bit late to join the group, but we're here to share the wait along with everyone else! ;)

Our journey thus far has been:

Sponsorship Appl & PR Appl arrived in Mississauga - March 15, 2011

We checked e-cas daily for nearly a month....and eventually...

E-cas reported "decision made" - April 14 (they said they processed the same day)

Received letter from CIC showing husband's sponsorship was approved (via mail) - April 20, 2011

Application and/or other documents were sent to MICC - April 14.

Per E-cas, PR Application received in Buffalo - April 21, 2011

Application for Undertaking arrived in Quebec - April 27, 2011

I'm truly hoping that this process doesn't take a whole 11 months! From last year's posts it looks like last year processing was running more like 6 months. I'd like that much better.

hey boomerang11,

just looking at your timeline, did you forget some documents from your origional file and CIC-M requested additional docs?
is that what happended?
can you clarify?

im just curious as to what happens if there is an ommission in the application.

thanks

No..sorry! I couldn't find another field to enter the Quebec portion in, so I put it under Docs Request. No additional docs were requested; nothing was reported missing. In fact, our initial letter and approval of Sponsorship noted that our application was complete (per the initial review). Sorry for confusing things.

hi guys,

another stupid question ::)

what´s gonna happen next, after my husband got approved and the application was filed to my vo. i guess they`ll overlook my part, do i get any info that they started processing it or how long does it take for them to open the application? or do i just get info from the ecas?

i know i should know the answers by now but i´m still a bit confused ::) ::)

ah no worries, was just wondering on the proceedure if something was missing....from what i gather they usually send the whole package back with a note on whats missing...

best of luck with the rest of the process anyway

Hi guys,

im late in joining this group, but can someone help me? I am worried, i sent my application off to Mississauga in March, and the Royal mail tracking has said that it was received and signed for on the 31st March 2011, but i havent heard anything from the actual visa office, and i cant seem to log onto the case checking system on the immigration website?? Is it possible that they havent even looked at it yet??? I am getting too stressed out!!!

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm-fc.asp

They are currently working on applications received on March 22, 2011 and it currently takes 44 days.

The number of days for assessment of sponsor is updated weekly on a Wednesday.

So.. you should in theory hear something 44 days (give or take) from date received (in your case March 31 + 44 calendar days)

thank you so much! ill just keep my fingers crossed!!

im the same day as you, havent heard anything either and some people from earlier in march have not heard anything yet so wouldnt worry bout it yet, prob hear something this week or next....seams to usually take a month and a day but others seem to take a month and a week...
fingers crossed it will be soon!

same thing here-- i m yet to hear anything from CPC-M, some have their sponsorship approved in 20 days and some are waiting for more than 40 days--i think it depends on various factors--person handling the application, number of applications received, public holidays etc. currently they are taking 44 days for first stage approval, let's see if this week brings the good news for us march-ers!

Hubs just got our sponsorship approval e-mail! Woop woop!
And whats really funny is that this is the ONE day in the past week I haven't even checked to see if I can long into ecas.

Best of luck to the rest of the Marchers. It'll come soon.

Now on to the even longer wait!

PS - Nothing is updated online, it still reports that they are not able to identify me. The email had a client ID number.... Can i use this to check now? With my sponsors info or with mine?

Ta.
