can you please correct my "file received" date?
I have checked with my husband and our file was received by Mississauga office on January 21th not January 20th.

Oh :'( and I was already looking forward to get the letter early next week. Oh well...have my fingers crossed for everyone.

Hi there,
I have a question about sending passport to ND. Should we send a self-addressed envelope with passport? should envelope be stamped? Are there any rules posted by ND about sending the passport? Please let me know the process of sending the passport to ND. Regards...V

You simply send it in, no self addressed eveloppe. It doesn't mention it in the letter for request. THe only rule is you cant drop it off in person like other Embassy, you have to mail it in.

You will likely receive a PPR soon, as ND makes it early in most cases and then hangs onto it.

I just woke up after a bad nights sleep :'( but how weird is it that after 5 minutes of being on the computer my hotmail alerts me of a new email from e-cas tracker!!!!!! ;D sooo weird as i am not normally awake this early on my days off it must be a sign!!


"We sent you a letter on February 9, 2011 about the decision on your

So i was right in thinking they sent the letter on wednesday!! stupid canada post cant deliver a letter from 20 minutes away the next day? I had a vibe on wednesday night that something was going on! Lol!

I'm not celebrating just yet until hubby tells me what the letter says!!!

I just logged into e-cas to see what it looks like and the e-cas tracker email didn't say the whole message.

We received your application to sponsor [MY NAME] on January 19, 2011.

We sent you a letter on February 9, 2011 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

What?! January 19th? I paid for next day delivery and the tracker for it said it was delivered january 18th at 10am so why did they only get it on the 19th?

Oh well it doesn't really matter now as they have already decided lol!

Hey All,

I just got an email from ecas and signed in and we have a 'decision made' !!

They made the decision on Feb 8th

I can not tell you how happy I am (we didn't send our medical receipt with the original package as per the instructions of the visa office proccessing our application and I have been stressing out for the last 3 weeks that they would return our package to us)!

My partner and I are in israel so i'm sure it will be a while before we get the letter from them, but just throught I would update you all as there are several of us who sent the application in around the same time

My spouse just got the mail and the letter came!! He called me and told me what it said which was basically he had been approved to sponsor me and my application has been forwarded onto London

So happy now! Now for part 2!!!

My husband mailed out our application on Jan 26 and it was received on Jan 28.
No word yet on whether he is approved or not.

GREAT news and congrats to you both ...I received an email today stating i was approved as my husbands sponsor and his application has also been forwarded on to London ....What a relief ... My husband is due home from work in the UK in an hour ... I can hardly wait to share the news with him
