Has anyone had their medicals expire?

Has anyone been accepted with expired medicals?

Has anyone been asked to re-do them?

How long does it take for medicals to get back to the immigration office?

Yes, mine expired.

Not me, but I have heard of the odd case that has

Yes, both my son and I had to redo the medicals. My son was also given the option to retake the medical a 3rd time or land within 4 weeks, he chose to land!

About 4-8 weeks from memory

:)

I had to re do meds January ..always hate going to see a doc , hate needles !

my meds expired dec 10

And yes 4-8 weeks to be sent back ..what I understand.

My medicals were completed in October 2009. When I got my PR my Visa was issued with an expiry date of April 20, 2011.
This is a question that I asked, in this forum, before I got my PPR. There really wasn't a clear answer because it seems that everyone has a different experience. In my case it appeared that the 1 year expiry date was 1 year from when my medicals were uploaded from Ottawa to Buffalo. But when I received my AOR it clearly stated that the 1 year expiry date was 1 year from when the medicals were performed. I am still waiting on my CAIPS notes which may shed some light on whether or not my medicals were extended.

Medicals for inland applicants can be, and are, extended, outland applicants do not normally get this benefit.
