I think I'm the second from Buffalo in our group, so I'll post here the second I hear anything. I'm glad to hear that November has their AOR's, though! That means we should hear something soon. Thanks for the update. :)

Sorry I've been so quiet on here lately. I went through a tough round of immigration/winter/far away from where I grew up/friends/family depression. -.- I think I'm through it, though, and ready to add my 2 cents. ;)

I have kept up with the updates, though, so they will be on schedule tomorrow.

Ive got the AOR today requesting additional documents....im not expecting they are going to request my passport im a little complicated case....but im thankful i heard something from embassy.

Oh I know how difficult it can be to settle in a new environment. But being close to your spouse is what makes it worth it...doesn't it ? :)

Thanks for the weekly updates!! Looking forward to it today!

That's definitely a good thing. Your file has started processing and once you submit the required documents it won't take too long ! Good luck :)

Most of us here have this adaptation depression, I had few bad days myself :( then nothing seems good, even being with your husband (wife) doesnt seem enough. But when this mood comes, I try to remind myself about good stuff that happened to me and that everything will change very soon. Spring is coming too. More sunny warm days!

So before quakingaspen put his updates today I want to update. E-cas informed today that my application is IN PROCESS.
*We started processing XXX XXX's application on February 8, 2011.*

I thought that AOR date was my "In process date", that would've been much better :) a couple weeks earlier

Thanks for the support, guys. :) Give the update a look and let me know if anything needs to be changed/updated! I'm hoping the Buffalo group will start to hear something this week, based on the November groups time line. Congrats to all of you who have had progress this week!

Happy Valentines Day, everyone! Here's to hoping that next year we'll be spending it with our loved ones as Permanent Residents of Canada.

Hope so!!

Sparkle - we are going thru Buffalo and no work yet. :'(

The waiting so hard...

Hello again,

Quaking Aspen, I think I was a little confused over what is what. The other day we got a letter in the mail, which would be our "real" AOR, the date on the letter was Feb. 8, 2011. I thought when I saw that our application was received Jan. 31, 2011 on Ecas, it meant that that was the AOR date, but I was wrong. Thanks for keeping us up to date! (By the way, it has just been AOR so far, no passport request yet.)

Belated Happy Valentine's day to you all as well :)
I have been sick with flu lately but still was lucky to go visit my husband this weekend in US and had him pamper me to the most :)

Buffalo is not moving fast at all :-( I hope we start getting some progress soon !!

Quick question, me and my husband now have a joint account in US, and I was wondering if it's a good idea to send the details of that to Buffalo ? We provided sufficient proof for relationship, but this could be a good supporting document I guess.

Hi all.

Bonbon9, thanks for your reply to my previous post. What I was actually wondering was whether there was a chance that we would be one of the lucky few who take less than 6 months (or even 5!) given that I applied for a TRV in November, which means CIC already has a lot of info on us -- you might say they "know" us a little bit. I suppose it's hard to know something like that.

In any case, last week I got an email with a PDF copy of the embassy letter that contains "Specific instructions including a letter signed on how to obtain Mexican Police Certificate." This seems rather sooner than most cases I see here or on trackitt.com. (I'm not gloating; I'm just trying to give myself some hope for a shorter wait than we anticipated ;-). )
Then yesterday another email came instructing me to send updated relationship materials, such as photos and proof of visits. It seems stuffs is happening.

In the meantime, we continue to watch the September Mexico City people. Go bonbon, jendrian and GT25! I wish more people were signed for their months' threads and for trackitt.com. There's yotefan and mrandmrsromero on trackitt.com but haven't seen them here, and there's canda on here but haven't seen them on the october thread or on trackitt.com.

Cheerio

Hi, I got my CSQ on Feb 7th and now on ecas it says that's "in process" since Feb 2nd.

Hi Decemberers

I'm popping over from the January thread to enquire about the AOR (our next step). I have 3 quick questions that i'm hoping one you experienced guys can help me with.

Firstly - the client ID that comes on the sponsorship approval letter, is it the same client ID as the applicants, or does the applicant get a different client ID

Secondly - I was wondering about the order of - what happens next:

ie. is the applicant's e-cas actived and then the AOR received, vis versa - or it veries from visa office to visa office

Finally - I noticed that most of the AOR's are received about 10 days after the sponsorship approval - are the applicants getting emails followed by a letter in the mail, an e-cas update then a letter in the mail, or just a letter in the mail.

Any light you guys can shed on what we should expect regarding the AORs would be much appreciated!

Hi Alie. :) Nice of you to stop by. It's been terribly quiet in here lately! We're all hunkered down to get through the winter.... and the long wait to hear something new about our applications!

I can't be very much help. I'm part of our Buffalo group, and none of us have heard Anything from our Visa office. I'm interested in the answers to your questions as well, so I hope some of our more informed members will share their knowledge.
