Hey Everyone,

I have just received the most unbelievable news! I got my PPR via email today!!!!!
I am shaking, am so happy, can't concentrate on the letter as i'm trying to read it!
I wasnt expecting to hear anything for at least another month!

Hi Everyone,

We just recieved some great news...well my husband did. He just got an email from the London visa office requesting his passport!!!!! We are so excited. He told me he thought it was spam and he was going to delete it...I'm not sure what made him change his mind and look at it...but I'm so glad he did.

We can now actually start planning for our future and a move to Canada :)

I honestly didn't think we would hear anything for another month based on the other time lines for London, so it is such a shock to get the news now.
For all of you still waiting...I hope you hear some good news soon!!! I know we don't really know each other, but from reading all the posts I feel like we are all taking this journey together and I feel like I am somehow a part of your virtual lives. So, I look forward to hearing the rest of the success stories for December (and the previous months)! Seems like London has woken up :)

Hi guys. :) They Fiinnnaaaalllllllyyyyyyy update the Processing Times for the Visa Offices (Found here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/fc-spouses.asp) I was going to post everyone's updated timeline, but many of them are the same. But here are the ones that changed, or that I didn't have on my spreadsheet before they update it:

Beijing 4 months
Bucharest 6 months
Colombo 17 months 16 months
Hong Kong 15 months 16 months
Islamabad 21 months
London 9 months 8 months
Sydney 8 months 7 months
Warsaw 7 months 8 months

So, not much change. Everyone else has stayed the same.

I guess it was too much to hope that Buffalo would suddenly be down to 3 months. ;)
 
Hi there,

I received an e-mail from London today confirming that my application is in progress as of 26th Feb, and requesting that I get a New Zealand police certificate as I lived there for 3 years (2000-2003), I can now also access ECAS using my own details and file number.

Well from what I heard is that they don't give you it right away, but since they already PPR, if you dont get it back after the interview thats a good sign, and then you get it in the mail with the visa about 2 weeks later. I am confident about the interview... nothing to hide. :)
 
I know what you mean. :) I think we're all hoping that we don't have an interview, but at least if you have one it gives you the opportunity to explain anything that might have been unclear in your application. And after that, it seems like a pretty good chance that you'll be approved. :) I'm sure everything will go well for you!
 
Anyone get an eCAS update today? Nothing new for me! But we know that they add a few more updates throughout the week, and can e-mail any time. So I still have hope. How are things going for you guys?
 
I just checked online.....nothing :(
I will not have access to a computer for the next 2 days so maybe when I get back. I checked everyday but it might be similar to watching a pot of water on the stove.

Gratz to those that have rec'd good news and crossing fingers for the rest of us!
