No, it comes after the sponsorship letter. It will come from the VISA office in your home country once they start processing your application.
Sponsorship application and the CIC office that processes it is a completely seperate process and will happen before your ap is even sent to the visa office.

Thanks giggles :D.. and that letter (AOR) will sent to me or my sponsor ?

Acknowledgement of Receipt. It's the letter that the visa office sends you once they start processing your PR application.

Thank you. Can't wait for mine.

The AOR is sent to the applicant.

Next in line!!! So exciting!!! Hope we hear something by the end of the week!!

Congrats to all that got their sponsorship approval!!

Well still nothing for me this morning. Now I'm starting to second-guess myself. Did I sign and date everything correctly? Would they just send my whole app back if I did something wrong? Hmm, I'm not very patient. ::)

I'm not patient either, and I am so very paranoid. Doesn't help that I mistook the Option C print out for the Notice of Assessment. They told me the app. wouldn't be sent back to me since it's a minor thing and they'd contact me to fax it over. I just hope they stick to their word. I would cry if that package was sent back to me. :'(

sitandwait - I bet they approved you on the 11th or 12th but ecas hasn't updated yet! Mine was approved on the 1st, didn't see it until the 4th when they updated. Can't wait until you share the good news!

AngelB - I would imagine they would try to avoid sending the application back as much as possible since it costs them money to do so. The Option C technically is a minor issue since lots of people either substitute paychecks, letter of explanation, etc. I can't wait for you to share the good news of an approved sponsorship, too! It's getting there! ;D

Aww, thank you for all the encouragement you guys!!! I will be checking off and on today and will let you know as soon as I see something. :)

Is there anything in the letter about it? Your financial proof is only needed to qualify you to be a sponsor (don't think the PR applicant side needs any of it once you are approved). If they thought it was original maybe they sent it back for your records? Did you send an option C?

My letter told me that since the signature on the Sponsorship Agreement was original they made a copy and sent me the signed copy back, even though I printed multiple copies and signed each of them.

I phoned them today at 8AM EST and it's official - our Sponsorship application was approved on 10 September and the rest has been sent to London! ;D

Hi buddhadimple, congratulations, did you phone from England? if so, how did you get through, on what number.

And this is for everyone, my aunt (in Canada) received a letter saying that my application had been received for my new citizenship card and is in process, should I ask her to fax it to Mississauga just for further proof of my status as I sent a copy of my certificate in my sponsorship application?

Hi fenna!

Yes I phoned from England. I have a mobile contract with 3, and on 3 Mobile Phones you get a Skype App (Under 2p per minute to call Canada) so I called with that. If you have a landline, use 1pminute.co.uk. I called Foreign Affairs Canada and then went through the options to get through to Citizenship and Immigration Canada (I think it was 1, 2, 1, 2, 2). Their number is (613) 944-4000. If you call at 13:00 (8AM there), it seems to be the shortest wait time. I waited 4 minutes in the queue before getting through.

**Edit: I was a little unprepared because they asked me loads of security questions and I got a few wrong (I kept saying I paid $1049 when it was $1090, etc.). So make sure you have everything in front of you - if you have a Client ID Number (I didn't), then you're probably better off.

...@KESS, Thanks for the info, yes they were originals so Im guessing they made copies. :)
@ Buddhadimple..congratz on the approval... ;)
