yesterday, i called cic to know the status of our app and the agent told me that they just opened it 2 days ago (sept 2). I also asked if i were approved to sponsor and answered me "well, i dont know because it didn't say here but they just sent your app in your visa office". A while ago, i checked my email and received matthew carroll's ecas tracker update. Finally, i can now log into ecas and it says there "decision made" and sent me a letter last sept 2.

i hope that "decision made" is my approval to sponsor coz they already forwarded our app in the visa office. what do you think? :-X

It depends with what option the sponsor chose in the event the application is refused...i opted for them not to send to visa office but to send back my application to me, others opt for them to send it to the visa office where it will be denied and maybe then appeal the decision. I may be wrong this is just from my understanding. In any case, you will get the letter in the mail hopefully soon and i hope you were approved. Congradz to Nyssa and the res of you who have passed the 1st stage, we are right behind you and soon well all be rejoicing for the same cause..

I'm so happy for all who are receiving their approval!
I'm getting excited myself. How is everyone finding out about their approval? I haven't received any communication from CIC and can't get onto ecas. Maybe it's way too early for me.
My visa office will be Santo Domingo if I'm approved.

Congrats LoveThai!!! This is great news, everyone. I love it! sitandwait - it's still a little early, but you should be within the next couple weeks!

Also, an interesting note, I sent in my RPRF at the same time as my regular payment receipt. They were on 2 seperate attachments because I paid for one in January 2010 (the first $550 or whatever) and paid for the RPRF on July 2010 and just sent both copies right away. Well I can log in with both receipt numbers. I hope that's a good sign

Hi,

I think mine was received on 27th Aug, although the tracking facility stopped at the point it reached Canada. However I know I'll have a couple more weeks wait till we here anything, does anyone know the number to phone the CIC office from England, I'm not phoning yet, but may consider it if it takes longer than it is at the moment.

OMG I can't wait to get home tomorrow. I've been visiting the hubby down in California since last Thursday and didn't bring a copy of my receipt number so I can't check ecas until tomorrow.
