Just wanted to share my update...our file was transferred to NY city, since then they've requested additonal documents, returned our personal info and E-cas updated "medical received".

PPR EMAIL TODAY!!! I'm pretty excited. I was in Canada on vacation until tomorrow and did not expect to receive it so quickly! Pretty happy right now. My file was transferred to Detroit and it took 15 days from then. Pretty awesome. Going to be so proud to be Canadian/Quebecois!

Also, I can hardly wait for a WHITE CHRISTMAS!

Yeah gratz to all the PPR's. Seems to be quite a few in our thread!

I'm feeling left behind as well.

I'm making the hubby update his address with Buffalo (he's coming up as a visitor end of this month). Maybe that will jog them into an update.

I hope something happens for you like tomorrow. It's definitely no fun being apart. My husband has his own "small" business so it's a little easier for us to be together as he is able to spend alot of time here with me but I can just imagine having to spend weeks apart

I really appreciate that. I check my e-mail every 5 minutes, and the stress is becoming overwhelming. Me and my husband have spent 8 months without seeing each other before. It was hellish, and I am very much ready for us to finally start our life together.

Oh my word girl, I'd be sick! Yeah, it's time! I totally feel it for ya! Keep your head up, you're in the last leg of this race, it's gonna happen! Hang in there just a little while longer. Last week I kept checking hubby's email from work but then I stopped because they requested additional documents so I know now there is a definite hold up. No matter what, even if your spouse is able to travel back and forth there is still that wedge without having obtained the PR. I too haven't felt like we've started our lives as yet and we're able to see each other often let alone.

Im hoping once we get this document that it goes fast. I know some people said in there emails the IO mentioned that it could be 3-4 months wait.

I didn't have anything like that in ours. just look forward to hearing from you within 60 days. So keeping my fingers crossed that they don't put us behind

Ok since a lot of people have received their PPR's already I have a couple questions. First: Do I still have to submit photos and put my wife and daughters information in the Passport Instruction page (even though they are already Canadian citizens)? Second: For mailing it...can I just stay in Canada or do I need to go to the States? Seems like I remember seeing something about somone sending a prepaid FedEx envelope or something to the office in Detroit, so as to expedite the return of their passport. Otherwise it looks like the only way to get it...is by Regular First Class mail. That could take a while and I don't want to worry for 2-4 weeks that my passport is getting lost somewhere lol.
