Just found this thread after i posted in the main section.

Here's the post:

Permanent Residence
We started processing ISAK JON BENJAMINSSON's application on January 5, 2010.

Medical results have been received.

A decision has been made on ISAK JON BENJAMINSSON's application. The office will contact ISAK JON BENJAMINSSON concerning this decision.

The change to "Decision Made" happened today 1. of March 2010.

I am applying from outside of Canada through the family class (Wife sponsoring).
I sent my medical in with my papers originally in the middle of November 2009.
I'm being processed in London.
I haven't been asked for any extra documents since submitting the application.

So....is there any indication in this if i have been approved or rejected ?

I am on a Visitors Visa in Canada right now.....if I have been approved, will i have to go back to my home country an then back here or is it possible to just flagpole the border ?

Assuming a positive outcome.....can anyone tell me what the next steps are and an indication of a timeline for those steps ?

New York has had our application since January 12th. They sure are taking their sweet time. Congrats Ritosgirl on the recent contact. Now where is that sweet PPR?

I have a feeling you're going to be waiting for the mailman each day Isakben. Sounds good.

ZAUBROË, It looks like processing time in NY is 2x as long as in London.....hopefully it wont be to long for you though.

I gave them me email address on my application so hopefully i'll see something in my inbox soon!

You can just go the the border.
They will give you list of things that you need to do (health care, sin card..etc) on a paper with your PR.
Congrats!

I just heard from Hong Kong that our application is "pending review by officer". It means they haven't started to process the file yet, though they received it early in December. :-(

yeah... it was pretty nice getting a response back from ottawa saying that they would forward the medicals. however, there has been no contact from new york. no ecas update, no email, no letter. and so, i guess we just wait... eh?

Just wanted to let you guys know that i got the PPR in email this morning! :D

So it only took them 2 days from changing the status to "Decision Made" to email the PPR, not bad.

Although i'll say it's been 2 long days....
