Jandian, have you tried to check ECAS with your receipt #? or do you have a client ID already?

Since March 2010 I've checked everyday ECAS with my receipt No. and nothing showed up, 'til in June I tried with my client ID and my two last names (I have two, I know is ridiculous!!!, I've to find out how to get rid of my 2nd last name) and it worked!!!!! at least now I know the status of my PR Application; hopefully I'll get the AIP sometime at the end of July or August as I've been told by the CIC Agents, although is up to the IO to decide it I'm keeping my fingers, toes, ears, lungs crossed!!! hahahahaha

At this point what else can I do, just wait....

Yes we have tried with the reciept number..unfortunatly there was a mix up with my husbands case Id # and they just finished resolving it. So there may be a delay in our ability to see an update on ECASE. What I wouldn't give to see anything on there tho. : I am also looking forward to hearing something soon. Thats right, just a short time longer until a decision is made. We will have to think positive thoughts and hope for the best. I keep telling my husband...It seems like the most stressful thing you have ever been through now...but one day we will look back on it and say it was all worth it.
I shall keep my everything crossed for us all as well ;D

Fed ex got notice today, it was 160 with customs brokers. So i hope to get it back inside this week. Estonians can go to the states, so ill go to the outlet mall in USA side for a day and then come back the same night and "land". Because i heared that if you only cross the border to come back right away - every time you are gonna entry USA in the future, they will have some kind of delay in the border.....

We sent in our application to Mississauga on January 4th....and interview is scheduled on August 10th. Pray for us, so nervous!

Fed ex got notice today, it was 160 with customs brokers. So i hope to get it back inside this week. Estonians can go to the states, so ill go to the outlet mall in USA side for a day and then come back the same night and "land". Because i heared that if you only cross the border to come back right away - every time you are gonna entry USA in the future, they will have some kind of delay in the border.....

err, do you still have to register for ESTA (..or something called like that) and have BIOmetrical passport to go to US?
not sure though, I'll check on that...

I have a BIOmetrical passport..and ESTA is for travelling with a plane. When i cross the border they have a little talk with me and give me a green thing into my passport. i think it was 7 dollars or something. it lasts like 4-5 months.

ouh, I didn't know that ESTA is just for air travel; and I still hold the old type of passport but I recently got a visa for 10 years and my husband has a biometrical passport. anyway we will try to avoid going to US since he was ordered to leave it (after 8 years of trials and appeals...)... don't know if he admissible at all after that in US.

that green thing is maybe Nexus card?? i've heard there is such a thing for frequent travelers, so you can go thru special line when crossing the border.

Hey Simpson, just wondering whether you got your passport back?
We send our a week ago, still waiting... They told they have 2 weeks to issue a visa. Just getting impatient

nope. no passport yet, because the person who was dealing with fed-ex coulnd´t do it for some reason. So tomorrow we will call and find out how it works.

[I wasn’t able to arrange a FedEx pickup from Canada. (Sorry, I thought it would be the same as it is with the US). As it is overseas, and the waybill has to be filled out by the sender, the embassy must arrange it on their end.

Call the embassy and have them arrange the pickup and fill out the waybill. Warsaw FedEx phone is 0 800 433 339. (The driver can bring a blank waybill with him/her and help them fill it out if needed.)

If the embassy says ‘no’ because they want a waybill filled out for them you will need to call FedEx in Poland to have them mail you a waybill, I can fill it out for you, and mail it to the embassy. (Let’s hope this does not happen as it will take a very looong time.)]

that's so frustrating....
I already told in the different topic how DHL made me drive 1.5h to find out that don't offer prepaid envelopes (however on the phone they say they DO - twice!! and two different person!)
So yes, I also used Fedex - included return airbill and put my account number (had to open an account with Fedex) as a payer. The stupidiest and dumbest thing I done - didn't wrote that tracking Nr!!!! ;D
However when I called CIC to find out when they are going to send it back, they still didn't open an envelope at that time and told me to be patient since they have 2 weeks to issue a visa.
so waiting and waiting.............. :-X :-\

we'll go tomorrow to Peace bridge to land. Also I found that Service Canada will work tomorrow at Lawrence mall on Dufferin str (the only place that's opened on Saturday), so we might get SIN as well...
Still can't believe that it's over...

when they give u visa. they also return all papers u send long time ago
