guys please help me out,

i've printed the application and doing a final check, now i'm confused with this question, please help:
I came to Canada in 1997 - became Permanent Resident on 1997-04-22
Became Canadian citizen on 2004 - 04 - 08

now my question is on the first form IMM 1344 A (asking question number 10)

Are you a
Canadian Citizen --- NO --- YES 2004-04-08
Permanent resident --- NO --- YES 1997-04-22
if you are a canadian citizen, is your claim to citizen by decent --- NO --- YES

Is that how I answer it or do not tick mark and provide date for Permanent resident

Naturalization as a Canadian citizenA person who is a permanent resident may apply for Canadian citizenship by naturalization (grant) subject to the following conditions.

This is how you became a Citizen...you are NOT a permanent resident..that status wasr evoked when you got your Citizenship

You can't expect delays for that form if your wife has not travelled outside..they know all this stuff which they punch in her passport number.
Just keep it handy and send it to ND as soon as you know the file has reached ND

You have written Slow Delhi , India in your signature LOL that's crazy

Any idea what the status means when it says In process? is this the time you are supposed to get your PPR or do you get PPR when the status changes to Decision made?...

It's really arbitrary because my status just says "Application Received" but my husband got PPR on January 25th, 2011.

Guys, we got a status update from MP. It seems our file is pending final review :)

There are totally two reasons, why our case was delayed..

1) My husband is a PR, but he submitted my PR appln when he was in marriage vacation in India, in the intention of submitting it faster. We dint knw that time that we couldnt do that :((( Then it went in a review with CIC-M. But we withdrew that case, they also accepted our withdrawal, and then he submitted my 2nd one.. CIC-M did not do anything this time, and they approved my spobsorship. But again delhi was not convinced, and they did not ask us also for any clarification. If they had, we cud ve happily given.
2) We used a montreal lawyer, when my husband is in toronto. DONO WHATS WRONG IN THAT??

Anyhow, now that they r convinced, all bg veriifcation everything is done. They dont want any more docs from our side. Its pending final review by the visa officer :)) But again MP says, he is not sure hw much time it l take, it depends on the final visa officer.. But am really hoping to get the visa in max 2weeks. plssssssss godddddddd

Best of luck Sanyrog.

What was the initial problem, because your husband is PR and submitted it while he was outside of Canada?

Thanks Nylalisa. Yeah that was the problem. U knw he had come to India on marriage vacation,,...We knew husband has to live in canada and we thought since he has just come to India on vcacation and he is gonna go back to canada, it shudnt be an issue. Unfortunately, its not it seems. Even though u live in canada, but if u post it outside canada, its a procedural rejection,

So stupid eh! I wouldn't think that a vacation should be a big deal. I understand if you are PR and you think you are gonna live outside the country for months, but a measly vacation... anyways, hopefully you will have your decision soon :)

yeah that was so stupid.. When it was kept under review, we were heart broken!! we dint knw what to do.. Thats why we went thru rep this time to make sure we dont miss anything this time.. Unfortunately it has also resulted in the negative side.. Dono why shud they bother what lawyer we use? Since my husband is in toronto, what harm in using a Montreal lawyer? yah thanks, am also hoping for the best! Now that the final visa officer should sign off and stamp the visa.. But again MP says he is not sure hw much time it l take.

Thats right - if a sponsor is PR he has to apply within Canada I know it sucks but its true, If you are a Canadian citizen then there is a provision in which you can apply your spouse even from outside Canada as Canadian Citizen has a right to mobility and he or she can enter or leave Canada at his or her will which explains this whole scenario.

This is the reason why they need the Entry and Exit Stamps photocopies of the passport to verify the current location of the Sponsor.
Well at least you know now that they are doing the final review and I don't think it should take long now, start packing your bags now:-)

But 2nd reason really doesn't make sense the Representative can be technically anywhere as far he or she is a CISC member, well you know how ND works so I am not amazed to hear that they found that 2nd reason to delay the file.

I hope for the best for everybody here, again every case is different and is handled in a different manner according to the complexity.
