It is really hard to contact them without a client ID. I would suggest you wait until they approve your sponcership, if required they will ask for the document before they approve it or ND will ask for it when they get it. It is very tricky to update your file before they have even started to process it..its higly likely ND will ask for it as this document apprears on their check list.

Client ID is the number on your PR card so you can refer that number when you call them, see if that makes a difference

I think CIC will ask for that document themselves when they check the list of documents attached

Any idea what the status means when it says In process? is this the time you are supposed to get your PPR or do you get PPR when the status changes to Decision made?...

The Call Centre can answer questions, in English and French, about Citizenship and Immigration (CIC) services and programs, or applications in process inside Canada.

Call Centre telephone number: 1-888-242‑2100

Automated telephone service (available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week)
If you have a touch-tone telephone, you can listen to prerecorded information about CIC programs, order application kits, and check the status of your application.
Call Centre agents - Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., your local time, except for statutory holidays.
You must choose one of the first five recorded options before you can speak to an agent.

Usually that line is always down and only gives the automated message..i have tried it a lot and got fedup and stopped calling that number...i would suggest that you don worry and they will ask for the document...just have it handy..

i think The status will only change to Decision Made after they will receive your passport and have made the final decision to issue the visa.

The status : In Process means they have started working your file and checking what is needed to finalize the application, if there are no additional documents needed or no interview needed and ROPR fee is already submitted then they will send you the Passport request letter.

So you can except a letter from New Delhi now, it could be for Additional documents or Interview or PPR.

Let the postman know to handle letters addressed to your spouse with care

Actually I called them this morning and on the number above and it worked just had to wait like 5 minutes and I talked to one of the agents, I needed to talk to them regarding my citizenship test scheduled in march 1st week.so it does work

Thanks Panda n fprince.

I even tried with client id but they are so busy. They are saying thursday and friday are least busy day and line is busy from last 1 hour. I am just worried that if they ask me document, it will delay my case. I will call them again. lets see.

guys please help me out,

i've printed the application and doing a final check, now i'm confused with this question, please help:
I came to Canada in 1997 - became Permanent Resident on 1997-04-22
Became Canadian citizen on 2004 - 04 - 08

now my question is on the first form IMM 1344 A (asking question number 10)

Are you a
Canadian Citizen --- NO --- YES 2004-04-08
Permanent resident --- NO --- YES 1997-04-22
if you are a canadian citizen, is your claim to citizen by decent --- NO --- YES

Is that how I answer it or do not tick mark and provide date for Permanent resident
