Congratulations on your visa!

My file has been in process for 15 months as well.. Can you please give some more details about your file as in did you visit ND in person, also did you have to do your medicals again? Please reply as I am planning to visit ND in person the next month.

I had to go to ND for my interview n was asked to do remedicals again. But v kept checking wit d MP once every 2 months for updates. I could be wrong but I assume that helped us.

we got DM today
but i still have my Indian mailing address on the ECAS, is it unusual to have indian address instead of Canadian address even after DM
is there anyone else, who has faced same problems. i got "in process" on saturday and it took only one day from "in process" to DM

Well i have canadian add as current home add and indian add as mailing add.

Even lalatata had same situation like your.

I pray that you get your passpport with visa soon. Its really a good feeling to have your pp back with you. But pleasw wait for a week for pp to arrive. They took 6 days to deliver mine in delhi.

i thought it took only 2 days for you, you told us about DM on 4th aug ??? ??? BTW when are you planning to fly?? we are not ready to move for next one month. i will wait for my PP, what do you think about address stuff, should i get worried about that??

thanks zeeshayn for your good wishes yes it was really a long wait and i learnt a lot about CIC processing during this period and sharing my exp. with new members to help them. i did some mistakes with my application and dont want others to make same mistakes
new delhi is moving fast now, you all will get your visa soon

Anybody same timeline get Medical from NDVO. I have appilled in Industrial Electricians - NOC 7242


"We received your application for permanent residence on June 23, 2010.

We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on October 5, 2010. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Your application and supporting documents were received by the New Delhi office. They are pending review.

Your application was reviewed and we started processing on May 18, 2012."

Till now no update from NDVO...

Firstly even i thought that i got it in 2 days, but once i checked it on passport , my visa was stamped on 30th jul and went into post on 1st aug! Even i find it strange that after sending it to post , they took almost 4 days to update ecas.

With your experience can you help me. My case is straight forward arranged marriage i send like 2000 pics everything that can prove geniuness of our relation, no travel history.

we can not predict anything about ND processing time. sometimes they issue visa within 1 month and sometimes they take more than 4-5 months. SBDelhi had very straight forward case with no travel history and got visa after a long wait. we are enable to understand their processing criteria, according to me 2000 pics are really more than enough if i was your VO, i would issue your visa based on your pics only you can contact your MP now for help, they can tell you exactly whats going on with your application. hope you get DM soon

Hey guys!!
I just want to share something with you all.
All the people who are getting DMs and passports must now be looking into booking their tickets.
We had a bad experience but it's a learning experience that i want to share with u. Some of you already might know this.
We booked my husband's flight from lufthansa.com .. due to the heavy season the only one we got was "delhi-viena-frankfurt-vancouver"
Although you dont need a European Visa to travel on Indian Passport, we found out if you are changing two flights in Europe, you need a Visa. So because my husband was flying from Viena-Frankfurt in the middle (without leaving the airport, in transition) they didn't let him get on the plane. I called lufthansa right away and asked to rebook. We were super lucky to have found a flight that leaves an hour later direct from "delhi-frankfurt-vancouver".. So now he is finally coming home on that and we had to pay $100 extra which wasn't bad at all.

The one hour it took for us to deal with this was super stressful!! He is joining work soon and had to be back ASAP. I just wanted all of you to know this cz this kind of info is not available online easily. Please check all rules before booking ur ticket and be careful. Thanks.. and happy journey to all of you coming back!

My ECAS is showing my Lawyers office address when checked with both my UCI and the file number...

Do I have to change that to my residence address in India or to our Canadian home address...

please advice friends... share your experience....
