Yup september 6th.after that no update.

their response to me asks to wait 6 months from the day my file reached their office. there is more or less a week or two's difference between approval and arrival at delhi. not a big difference. but still, i m going to send them this link, right now.

just checked ur time line. pretty close to mine - my file reached new dehli on may 26 and still waitign for passport request. i asked and they said after everythng is done.
did u ask them when they're sending ur PPR? do share when u get a PPR. ok.

your point is valid. but still dont forget not everyone that has their file at new dheli is on a forum like this. they have many more files to process and ur file as of now is just 4 months old. give them 2 more months. you'll get ur visa before that, i believe.

this is frustrating my wife is in india and almost crossing the time line.
i understand for other people taking time but shldnt be long for a women background check and more details.

for men i understand they interview and they do lots background check and all.

this is annoying this was the reason iam loosing patient.

How do you guys contact the New Delhi Canada Embassy office? Through email or phone? And are they quick with replying back?

Also- did you guys have to fill out the IMM0008 form?

Yeah I got married this July. I think the only thing I regret so far is, not applying like the week after. I didn't realize how tedious and time consuming the applications would be. I had to gather up a lot of information, which took me about a month and a half to do. I would have probably been half way there by now. I hope I get mine sooner than 6 months. Right now my lawyer is still looking over my papers and making sure everything is in order before sending them off. It's crucial knowing that I'm just a two hour flight away from Canada, but can't be there right now

dont wry... preparing all documents is along process.even we took about a month to do that..

Four ways you can enquire your case file 1) Visit CHC ND 2) Approach Local MP 3) Email 4) Case Specific Enquiry

In Brief :

CHC ND is open to public from Monday - Thursday, from 11 am-12pm only.You will be asked to fill an enquiry form at the entrance by the security guard and the form will be submitted and designated person will go through the enquiry form and decide accordingly whether you'll be allowed inside to speak to some one or whether you will be answered through security guard.Please carry copy of sponsorship approval that your spouse received in Canada, PPR, Additional documents request letter, copy of financial receipt & any other document related to your application.

Try to be there around 9am, first come first out !

In person, I don't live in India. I live in the US, but my applications is going to get processed in New Delhi (hopefully).

Anyway- the reason I ask about the IMM0008 form is because, when I set out to do this application back in July, that form didnt exist, the form that was there before is replaced by this IMM0008 now (I'm guessin because it's a revised version of it now). The form before asks for the same info in form IMM0008, except it's formatted differently. But just in case, im gonna fill it out and send that one in too.

Another question: is it possible to get a visitors visa while your process of sponsorship is going on? I wonder if they would grant those.

Buddy !

CHC ND VOs will never respond to our emails if we approach them before six months of processing time, even if we hold response than it will be generic and not in brief.

PPR can be issued at the initial or final stage and its over all depend on the VO dealing our case files. So you're the one of the applicants who receive PPR after the process ends. Best of luck Ricky
