Yes definately I LOVE going to India, and best part is being entertained right in the middle of the air a flying restaurant. Anyways I was just thinking of US being an option, but not anymore, I don't want my wife to transit through US cuz of visa issue........

You are right patience is the key........ and who else knows better than you :) I hope good news are just in the pipe for you specially and the rest of us.

My husband came via London. He did fine, lonely flight but he met some ppl coming to Canada or I should say returning to Canada, who helped him along the way as well. The only other thing you could do is find her a direct flight on Air India. There are some comparable prices if you keep your eyes open. But definetely US is a no go. Its stupid that with a visa and landing papers you cant transit there.

That is the United States of America for you :o. You can connect through most countries without needing a transit visa, but for the US, you need one.

The second thing is, if you are thinking you can't go to India because you won't have your Passport back in time, you won't be able to go to the US either without your Passport. It is now mandatory for Canadians travelling to US to have a Passport, regardless if they travel by Air or Road.

Or you can travel by road without a passport if you have the enhanced Driver's Licence.

You seem pretty excited... if its 6 months... then shouldn't it be Oct-2011 ? ... I'm confused.... <-- (edit: n/m this part lol)

Also can you list the Date it self... MM-DD-YYYY format you are talking about..

I've been seening all the options as you know I work as a part time travel agent (NOT), just always keep my eyes open on the major ticketing websites and find good deals.. for example 724$ BA for you when you went to the site I mentioned to you.

So far the cheapest I've seen was $684 (AirI) and 708 (JetA), direct flight.

I have no problem her coming in any flight, but I want to accompany her all the way from India, plus better to see everyone back home before I start the life here, cuz you never know after how many months/years we will see our family friends in India. I really have no intentions of going to India for atleast 1 whole year minimum after I bring my wife here.

There is no direct flight on Jet. It is via Brussels, Belgium where you interchange to a new flight.
Jet is good.

Haha good one.
Yes, in Ontario you can get one..you would need your citizenship certificate, Passport etc and have to book an appointment and apply.
It is hassle free and can get it within weeks.
With that you can trave to US by land without a passport ( not sure abt the ship, i think you can )

i agree with u....but i have heard that service for AI is not so good... i havent flew with them so cant really say my experience...i always with BA so know they have decent service....however i have heard that JET is doing good from Toronto to Delhi and also they have the new fleet too....

Maybe it is time I should go for it then, I've been waiting for this to happen, and I do make about 2 trips to US every year. I'm glad they've started doing this. Afterr I get my stuff back from the Indian Consulate I will go for it, they have my new passport.

Does it cost anything extra for this e-license? We can check everything and anything on the website, but I prefer feedbacks here :) Gives us all something to discuss. n read. and get our minds of ND, eCAS, CIC, CPC-M, etc...

Same here, I have never flew in AI, and I have heard good part about the f00d but not sure what you meant by service?

If service also means ALL OF THEIR FLIGHTS are DELAYED then yeah thats a huge service issue.

Back in Feb I flew with Turkish Airlines, I loved their service, it was great all the way, until we were waiting to depart from Istambul to Mumbai then the Turkish Airline was DELAYED because they had passengers from another AIR INDIA flight connecting to this particular TK Air, so Air India is so much delayed that they delay other flights too. The only reason I see is because many flight companies operate in partnershipt (alliance) where they connect each others passengers. And this was the case, so your TK flight is also called AI flight.
