that would be a good idea....

the reason being is if anyone else is scheduled for an interview then they can compare the one's with who are already scheduled and can quickly look @ their timelines..

I am hoping for the PPR, as FebPR who got file transferred on the same day as I did, he already got the PPR request... so I'm hoping that my PPR is also in the mail, and I think India Post Service doesn't observe the Good Friday or they do?

I will really like the gift of PPR on Friday.. or even on Saturday!!!

I can't wait to break the news on this thread!

Well. they didnt ask me as to why i didnt apply earlier. I had my parents here all along while i went travelling.

One more question i have.

When we got the medical done in Jan my wife's last name was not changed and on the receipt of medical was on her before marriage last name and then we applied for last name change on passport and they cancelled the passport and issued a new one with last name changed. Also the PCC was done with before marriage last name. I m guessing that shouldnt be a problem. Correct me if i m wrong. All the forms was filled with last name changed and photo copy of current passport was included.

Also the PCC was done with before marriage last name. I m guessing that shouldnt be a problem. Correct me if i m wrong. You are fine. Think that is how it works, and the PCC with maiden name works.

PCC & Medicals will be issued in the name of the passport holder, in this case it was the maiden name...and it is valid until the exipry date.
A marriage name change will not affect the validity on both these certificates.

Nope i did not...It is a pain in India hence i did not even attempt. You can always do it on passport renewal.

You can still change her SIN,Bank,Health card, DL and all other stuff once she lands here..
Need the original marriage certificate and in Ontario you do not need a legal name change, you can assume your hubbys surname and change all documents issued by Canada..check service ontario's website for name change after marriage.

Important Note - Never change your PR CARD surname unless the Passport also has the same name.
This might cause huge issues with immigration once you leave/enter the country.

you are fine...you will not have any problem...but if you add ur last name in ur spouse's last name in the pp...it will b beneficial when chc nd will ask for the pp...
