Hi Guys,

I got a strange letter from ND, asking for our marriage certificate :o

My wife said, that was the first thing she put it in the envelop.....

Also the letter saying if the document is not reaching their office by 26/5/2011, the visa may get refused.

till this time they dont even asking me for the Background/declaration form ( IMM 0008_1).... so strange...

and the latest letter i got in 2 days from delhi to mumbai.

anyway, i already requested my PCC from london, so i will put all the docs including marriage certificate (again) and send it together.

I still dont know what all they are going to ask me more :o

Ben

@ benjo

chc nd does weird things....even if they have the request....it's still hit and miss...so i would advise if you can put the document in again and send it to them....

also write a cover letter explaing that i am re-submitting it as per your letter dated (include date)

all the best and good luck :)

Ben..it's an immigration lawyer's blog...obvously they want to sound intimidating in order to get clients....there is some truth behind it...but don't get worried too much abt it!
Your supplimentry info for Delhi and prev address are more important ! :)

anyone with any news? ??? ::)

I think if there is a more than what might be considered a "reasonable gap" between the marriage (or when you returned back to Canada after marriage/honeymoon) and when you actually submitted your sponsorship application, then there's a pretty good chance you'll be called for an interview to explain why it took "so long" to apply?

A gap of more than 2 months might be suspicious to them.

As far as that blog is concerned, those sound like questions that might be asking during an interview (based on what I've read on these forums).

Visa officers are intelligent and they do there job...... most likely if it is second marriage then they will look as suspicious......they also have all other proof which we all send.... it depends upon discretion of vo if interview is needed..... vo can be rude at times...............I had my own expereince while migrating to canada ..had a very very rude vo...as i now what an vo can behave like...but if u r lucky enough then u miaght get a good officer...................

it also depends on prensetation of case ...if a case is presented well then less time for vo to work on and things can get smoother........

as far as time is concerned as nb2825 said that if it is more than two months after marriage u r applying that can be suspicious....I dont think that is a factor as most of the time to collect docs and arrange and send it takes more than 2 months.....

MY APPLICATON WAS RECIEVED APRIL.11/2011.....DELHI VO :D :D :D :D :D :D
