What does ppr stand for?

I got married in August and just recently ND asked for my wifes passport and about $400 more, what does that mean?

I guess "ppr" means passport request.Wonder why they asking for $400.00?

u must not hav paid for 1040$ PR fees so they hav asked u to pay that u must have paid 540$ b4 submitting appl................n ppr means passport request........i hope it helps...........

Thanks for the replies and clarifying those questions for me. It also stated on the paper that the passport will be back in 3 to 4 weeks does that mean it will be stamped with the visa or that they will want an interview? I am very confused because I have not found a definite answer on these forums. And They also want another police report, why?

And yeah my family only gave half the money beforehand. I thought they had payed in full. And I hope that didnt cause any further delays.

Police clearance is only valid for 3mths/90days from the date it has been issued to you, btw when did you submitted your file to CIC>??

In late November I sent it to CIC, on January 8th they mailed me my confirmation that that I meet the eligibility requirements. On January 22 they said online that they recieved my wives Medical reports. Is that good or bad?
