You can answer no and put the dates which you have visited him
The only time i would say I " visited during the relationship" was when I went home to get married and spent like 2 weeks before coming back to Canada. Does that qualify as a " visit during the relationship"?

Need guidance on how to answer one of the questions on the Sponsor form:

Background: I was single when I came to Canada as a Permanent resident last year. Then I went to Nigeria to marry my fiance. My fiance and I never lived together during the courtship but lived in the same city. Then I came to Canada as a PR, and travelled back to Nigeria to get married.

I need advice on how to answer this question as contained in the Sponsorship questionnnaire.

" If you are not living together, have you visited each other during the relationship?"
@olddelmary if there's a field to explain, then I'd say "no" and then explain that you lived in the same city during courtship so your visited each other [insert frequency here], but for [your own reasons here] you haven't visited each other in the year that you got PR.

If there's no field for explanation, then I'd put "yes." Remember you are always allowed to submit additional support details. So if you think there's room for them to doubt your relationship, attach a document and refer to the form number and question number and provide whatever explanantion you feel is necessary there.

for example, for the question of whether my hubby and i exchanged gifts on our first meeting. i put "no" and in my note explained that when we first met, it wasn't a romantic encounter so no gifts were exchanged, but when we started courting we exchanged gifts such as xyz.

all my friends are like you need to get a medical text first... I am really confused can someone make my path straight?
that's not always the case. If your medical hasn't expired, you won't get asked to do it. Again, we can help you assess what's going on unless you provide your timeline and details.

@jellyfish_smile, what @Cutie101 said is correct. I find that a couple of the forms for immigration are protected from "preview mode" in a browser (imm0008 being one of them). One must download and saveit locally first then open it up in Adobe (not online) in order to fill it out or update it.

Since you have a version you already used, find it and only update the parts that have changed if need be (e.g. new address or new child, height change or whatever) and re-validate to get a new barcode, then submit. Also, inform Accra what changes you made in your email/note back to them.

If nothing has changed since you submitted it, send the original in with a a note stating that none of the info has changed and everything is up-to-date. I hope this helps
Nothing has actually changed since we submitted. But the initial application we submitted was printed and hand fill. In fact we did nothing on computer.

Did you start dating before you left for Canada? If yes, I would answer yes and explain that you lived in the same city for the majority of your relationship with frequent visitations. If you're relationship started after you moved, then I would suggest "No".
Reason is I see that the new application forms are abridged and these yes or no questions can be easily not work in your favour. Plus the question is directed and the entirety of your relationship not just the part after you moved.
