My dear we are in similar situation. My spouse and baby's passports was received on 31st of Aug. at AVO and no pick up yet. I tried reaching out to AVO and was told that the application has been referred for additional reviews in other to complete it (wondering what hat means) nothing changed on myCIC until today. Background Checks moved to in progress today. So I'm hoping they release them soon.
Mine has changed to DM, but no pick up mail yet.

Each situation is different, and the visa officer is looking for discrepancies between the answers at the interview and the application as well as common sense.

The following generic questions may be asked:

How did you meet your sponsor?
Who was involved in arranging the marriage?
How is the middle man related or known to both families?
Did you talk with each other privately before agreeing to the marriage?
Why did you not get married earlier? (especially asked of a woman in the Punjab marrying later than 26-28)
How many people attended your marriage (look at the photographs provided to the visa officer - is it in conformity with your answer? Very often there are limited number of people at the laavan ceremony)
When did your sponsor immigrate to Canada? (the visa officer is attempting to find out if the applicant has knowledge of the sponsor)
What does your sponsor do for a living? (this is basic - every husband/wife should know this about their sponsor)
What is your sponsor's phone number? (this is basic - every husband/wife should know this about their sponsor - however I have come across situations where the applicant does not know)
Do you have any relation with your sponsor other than marriage? (visa officer is attempting to ascertain whether there was a relationship and therefore a motive to sponsor the applicant other than a genuine marital relationship)
Who accompanied your sponsor when he/she came to get married? (something the applicant should know if they are in a genuine relationship)
Who proposed? When was the proposal made? When did you get married? (basic...)
When did you and your sponsor live together? (also elementary, and a question contained in the sponsorship questionnaire)
Did you and the sponsor attend any weddings or functions together? (It's almost a certainty that a newly married couple will be attending other weddings, especially if their wedding was during the marriage season)
What is the name of your spouse's company? (applicant should know the employment of sponsor)
What kind of work does sponsor aspire to do in the future? Any career plans? (see above)
What was his/her previous job before present employment? Why did sponsor change jobs? How long at current employment? (see above)
What does sponsor like about the job? What is his/her boss/supervisor's name? What are the names of the people he/she works with? What is the nature of the job? How much does he/she make?(see above)
What does sponsor like/dislike about [INSERT CANADIAN CITY]? (visa officer is attempting to get a spontaneous response)
Where do you and your sponsor plan to live in Canada?
What do you plan to do once you get to Canada (go to school, learn english, get a job)
What are your spouse's friends' names?
What does your sponsor do in his spare time? What does your sponsor do when he's not working?
What is spouse's favorite sport?
Did you go on a honeymoon or outing after your marriage?
Where did you go to/How long did you go for?
How long did your sponsor stay in India after the marriage?
How often, and how do you stay in contact with your spouse?
I don't believe that an applicant can ultimately succeed by simply memorizing a list of possible questions. Instead, the applicant should understand what the visa officer wants, and should assure that visa officer as to the bona fides of the marriage. This requires the applicant to know the personal details and history of his or her sponsor. Communication and other indicia of a genuine relationship must be highlighted and brought to the visa officer's attention.

DHL Lagos Nigeria is a disaster. My husband has been waiting for his passport delivery since morning - out for delivery 7:04am. He can't go anywhere because he needs to sign for it. Now, it's 9pm and the website says delivery before the end of the day. Also, there charges are ridiculous N23,500... As it is, I don't think they will deliver today

@kwame22 my husband just had an interview on the 21st. They didn't ask for extensive documentation, only the ID of his sons mother and passport photos for his son, nothing else. Anyways they asked questions about his son but also about our relationship. The questions that @Pake and @Cutie101 just posted are what guided us in our preparation. Go through all those questions and write out short answers for each question. You need to practice being quick and straight to the point for each of those questions. They are not going to ask you things you don't know, but you should be prepared with simple and straight answers. This was the advice we were given from our lawyer, so I am passing it to you. You also need to study very well what information you submitted and what information you are bringing with you. With all of this relationship proof and identity proof they have asked you for, there is doubt in their mind. Study hard and gather everything you need to prove them wrong. You can do it. Work very diligently to prepare these questions and the documentation. It will help. You can do this. My husband came out very confident because we went over these questions and the lady asked a lot of them. We received our medical request twenty minutes later. Prepare and all will be well.

@kwame22 ......yes definitely gather all your whatSapp conversations.. when your talking take screenshots, the whatsapp call log history screen shoot it and you can email to yourself and shrink it all to a word document and or once you email the screen shots you can print each one. Also you can print the chat history of your whatsapp conversation. you can edit it if required to remove the erroneous items from the convo. If you have visited each other since the application took place visa entry stamps from passport, itinerary of the trip, pictures. friends and family who know of your marriage you can have them draft letters and get an affidavit or notarized. The more information (latest info after the initial documents you provided ) they know relationship is ongoing. And when the visa officer asks when were you initiated contact sometimes they mean sexually WHATEVER QUESTION YOUR SPOUSE MAY NOT UNDERSTAND- have her ask the visa officer to clarify and or she can re-iterate back to the visa officer if this is what she means to ask. trust me Ghanaians are always afraid so when it comes to sexual questions they tend to shy up and this is where you have to prove your marriage. and also buy a lot of credit you pretend to be the visa officer and ask your spouse the questions see how she answers. and align your story with the application you submitted dates because they want to make sure it corroborate and no disreptency.
You may keep the answers simple ... be friendly not timid and if your spouse may not know the answer to the question like what is your husband favorite food. if she cant come with a specific food

example
her response : oh my husband what food does he not eat as long as I made it. he loves everything but rice he isn't a fan but he don't have a favorite... so atleast she didn't narrow it to one specific...

hope this helps all the best...
