I think you can contact them at accra@international.gc.ca or do a case specific inquiry even though that might take some time for them to respond to you. Best bet is to send them am email inquiry the status of your application.

Hi Chrissey, None of the above VO. I picked it up in Kingston Visa Office. I leave in Kingston Jamaica. Embassy is about 10min drive away from my house. After AVO process my application, they send it to KVO to issue the visa. So I went there to pick it up. What they gave me was just my passport, COPR and finalization letter.

Hello all pls I just received a mail that my application has been updated and I should log in to check. I do that and there has been no updates. I'm confused

HI Yayao,
I have had a lot of applications with cic and they normally do that. They may have updated it in their system but it does not reflect on your ecas page. Just give it few more weeks and then check again .

Cic regularly does weekly update on Tuesday. You can try checking tomorrow but I must tell you from experience, it will take a while before you see the update unless you have a mail which you can see immediately

Hi Ikema, I am glad to hear AVO after processing sent your file to the country you reside to issue the visa. I have the same situation, I applied from China and my files was transferred to AVO, so I don't know what the situation will be. If they will ask me to send my passport to AVO or they will transfer to Canadian embassy in China to issue my visa. I have being in China for about 9 years now. Do you have any words on this for me. What do you think? Congratulations bro.

I am almost in the same situation. My wife is a Cameroonian and she resides in Cameroon. People from Cameroon's application are being processed in Dakar Senegal. I wassuprised when her application was sent to Ghana instead. Anyone guessing if she will have to mail her passport to Ghana or they will forward it to Senegal?

yayao ,When an application is submitted online through MyCIC, you are able to view the status of different application processing stages. Once a change of status occurs, an email is sent to you with the following subject line:

Your application (X000000000) has been updated.

Please note that when an email is sent with the subject line mentioned above, it is not a new message in your MyCIC Welcome page.

To view your application status, you must log into your MyCIC account. On the MyCIC Welcome page, in the View my submitted applications or profiles section, you must select the Check status and messages button on the appropriate application. The application status will be displayed in the Details column of the Application Details page.

Same thing happened to me few months ago,i raised cse AND GOT THE ABOVE RESPONSE.

Hey gapoha,
if you notice on your SA letter, it state that your file has been transfer to AVO base on your country of origin. when they are sending your PPR, they will request you to send your passport to china because your fill will be transfer to China for further or no process at all and to issue your visa.
