We actually have a different situation on our hands. Hubby was living in Malaysia, He had his passport with the Malaysian immigration at the time his passport was requested on March 9. Been tring to get it back, which he just did yesterday March 18th (Malay's time) and looking for the next available ticket for him to return to Nigeria, and then submit his passport from Nigeria. Long story. though he was originally given 15 days too.. fortunately, he got an extra 15 days extension to submit his passport (as requested). We are hoping he gets a flight that arrives Nigeria for Monday latest.. Still considering if we should use DHL or VFS. we want the passport out of Nig..at least before Friday,the election weekend.

extra info.. we didn't want to use Malyaisa's VFS..cos he has a 30 day permit left..and the risk/ consequence of overstaying includes detention. Hence his return to Nigeria to send .

I believe using DHL is much better. That's what I used when I processed my PNP. And that's what we are using now for my wife's passport. With DHL, my mind is at peace.

I called another hospital and the lady asked me if I had submitted my application or whether I wanted to do an Upfront Medical. I said Upfront medical and she told me the required documents to bring. She said nothing about biodata form. Will be going on Friday.

I called one of the hospitals on the CIC website to book an appointment for my medical examination and I was told to come with a biodata form from the embassy. Please where can I get such a form?

I think what they said was that u need biodata page of ur passport/travel document. Nothing like biodata form in medicals.

Don't worry about it o pester, I noticed they only notify applicants on Monday's. I got my passport request on d 2nd of Mar, accra received it on the 5th and on the 16th, I got an email that my document was ready for pickup. I'm almost sure u will get hear from them soon.

Can you please tell us your timeline? I know you said you got denied before but can you tell us the timeline for your second attempt to apply?

Hello everyone... I am just wondering how people know when their application was transferred to Accra. Right now when we check my wife's status online, it only says that the application was received by CIC in November. I was approved for sponsorship in December... Is it likely that her application was sent to Accra already? Thank you to everyone.

In your sponsorship approval letter, it will tell you that as soon as you got approved as a sponsor, CIC will forward your application to Accra unless told otherwise.

You have to assume that it got sent on the same day you got SA or a week or so after you got SA.

Generally that's the case, applications are forwarded shortly after receiving SA

MoH is correct. Just understand that once you've been approved for sponsorship, it's all in the hands of the Visa Office and if you have a strong case like I did, sending about 80 pictures with pictures as far back as when the relationship started, and Western Union money transfers, phone bills showing her numbers, it's going to be a walk in the park.

Wow... I understand but you did your medicals on Jan 20th. Hmmm.... Our medicals is expiring by April 15 of this year. That's why I'm a little bit tensed about this visa issuance date. I mean, I'm ready to buy her ticket for tomorrow if the passport lands today. Nice timeline though.

This makes sense. Another member (itsmytime), his/her file was transferred at the end of August and they requested docs from them at the end of January just like you.

Then it took them a month to move on to Opester and Gamer whose files were transferred in middle/end of September.
