Ghanaboy you're an example to all of us...keep up the good fight brother. All our cases are different and we all have different issues but we share the same goal, and that's to be united with our loved ones.

Here is to a good weekend and a great next week :)

It's amazing but the last time we heard that someone got a passport request from Accra was back in middle of October..

Accra give us some good news.

Hi Everyone...I am new in this thread and so far I like what I have read here, it is very educational. I live in Canada and I applied for my wife November 3 (Received date). I received AOR by email on Jan. 20. I am waiting for my SA and possible file transfer to Accra in a few weeks.
Doe anybody know how long it takes Accra to approve sponsorship....I mean approximate?

Hello Mekus,

Welcome to the forum. They're started working on November applications so you should be getting SA very soon, within a week or 2. It's takes days or a couple of weeks for your file to get sent to Accra.

After that, most members heard something from that office (either a passport request or more docs needed) 2 or 3 months after the file is received in Accra.

Good luck, order the notes about 1.5 or 2 months after your file gets sent to Accra to see what's going on.

Thanks for joining and we look forward to your good new.

Hey Ghanaboy,

I was talking about the sponsorship applications, before they get transferred to Accra. They just started to work on November. I have no clue where Accra is

Welcome TemiA,

Well make sure to do your medical and police checks upfront. Pay all the fees if possible. Make sure all your documents are complete and signed and make sure you get the latest forms because they change on the website, if you submit old forms your application might get returned to you. Also provide plenty of proof of your relationship, photos, marriage certificate, emails, chats etc etc.

That's about it, good luck.

Last week of January my Accra friends and still no passport request in this group since October..

Hopefully this is the week and we're all praying for you NKT, and Ghanaboy.

The waiting is still on.

Thanks MOH1979. I'm in Canada and hes in Nigeria but i find that some of the application require both of our signatures. Is it advicable to have him sign and scan the document to me or is that frowned up; do they need originals only? Thanks again.........i'm beyond anxious to started this process. Luckily i visited this site months ago and people advised me about keep phone records and communications so i've been doing that.

Thanks again.

I believe the applications must be original.

Good Monday morning to everyone.

Welcome to the thread TemiaA.

As Moh said, make sure you have a complete package.
We were married November 26 and we are both Nigerians. I returned to Canada with my husband's signed application, his proof of Medicals and police report.
Yes, they require originals of the forms.

You can fill out all the forms and send him those that requires his signature. He signs and return the application forms to you.( including police report and medicals if not done yet)

All the best.
Waiting to hear your goodnews ghanaboy, NKT and Moh before the week runs out.
