Hi everyone,I just joined this thread. please i need ur help my application was recieved at MIS on the 10th of july, 2012 and d sponsorship application was approved on the 20th Sept. 2012 and they said that d application has been sent to ghana for further processing. i havent heard anything since then. I am a bit anxious.kindly reply. thank you.

I don't think you should worry too much. mine was transfered to accra since july 9th and since then i haven't heard any news ,no interview! nothing ! maybe it all depends on your file

I am may applicant too but mine was delayed because I did asked for withdrawal,it was originally forwarded to Accra on Sept 4th but becos I withdrew and asked for processing again,it was sent back to Accra on October 18th,so I am still waiting too but usually 6weeks after Accra receive it,they sent out interview letters but it is different for each person I guess.

Letter or email goes to the applicant not the sponsor.

Thanks . Is there any way to ask the visa office to speed up the final processing .I tried calling them but they wont receive calls regarding PR visa even if the sponsor is the one calling. Could be annoying somtimes.

Also, who sends the permanent residence Kit to the sponsor ( Cic or VO) and when are they suppose to send it, Is it before applicant arrives canada or after landing and whats the kit all about.

hi everyone,please i need your help.my sponsorship application was received on may 18th 2012,and my file was sent to ghana in september 17th 2102.since then i have'nt heard from ghana and no update.its like 6weeks now,i haven't heard anything as regard interview.please how will i be notified about the interview date?.i am in canada and my hubby is in Nigeria.i am a bit anxious.is there anyone in the same date that has received an interview date?please reply.thank you

I don't think anyone should get worried especially those whos application sent to accra in September. As i was told by others every case is different and it also depends on the visa officer working on the file. Some Visa officers are extremely fast and others are slower than a car not moving. Therefore, if we applied the same time and i got interview date early doesn't mean there should be any concern with your file. As for the interview notification, you will get either email or snail mail but in my wife's interview date she recieved email first and few weeks later she also recieve a letter. If you indicate in your application that any correspondent should be sent by email then they will send you email for the interview date.

@Bbccanada please @ what point did you know ur file was sent to Accra(27/07/2012), cos from ur timeline i noticed no acknowledgement of AOR, just curious, is my file sent to my VO immediately after i get my AOR?

@Teni, thanks for your best wishes and i hope yours will come soon. Acknowlwdgement of recieve from Mississauga doesn't mean your file is transfered to Accra but if you recieve acknowledgement of recieve from accra means your file has been transfer to accra. If you have got first stage approval from mississauga means your file has been transfer to accra already. If your file is transfered to accra all depends on the visa officer working on the file. In some cases some will send an acknowledgement of recieve and most don't but you don't have to be too worried. Even sometimes the file they call very fast are the ones with problems so relax wait for your interview date cos no one goes through the accra office without interview request. I will keep u update and hopeful by than you will also get your date. Good luck to everyone going through this immigration stress.

@mrs..thanks for your wish and you applied at the right time that the waiting time for first stage approval average around 30 days. When we applied in April and may the waiting time was 96 days and those unlucky waited more than 4 month. Therefore your time line looks pretty good and now all you have to do is to start gathering anything you want to present at the interview because with the Accra office interview is always requested. I will update you about our case as well as sharing useful information with you.
