i have applied since may and was transferred to accra since september.i haven't heard anything.what is the problem.im just tired, its 8months now since i applied.tried calling, was told immigration section don't pick calls.feel so weakened in faith

Chenny, we don't have children and neither of us has previously been married. From my understanding, this does make processing simpler. He applied for a study visa in May 2011, it was refused, and he is almost 10 years younger than i am. These were my only two concerns.

Keep your faith strong.

thanks mrs,the only concern i have right now is police check we didnt add it.and they didn't email me to do that either, and didn't just want to do it and send it in.its so annoying,at least they should have told us to do it,rather than delay the application.the second one is im presently not in canada,i don't know if that is a problem too.as am a permanent resident.

Congatulation Mrs, this is a very good news and fast processing timeline.
@Chenny, i haven't heard anything since ecas shows in process since January 10. For me my wife's medical has already expired cos we did the medical 5 months before the application was sent. All i can say is be patient cos with immigration some get fast processing timeline and others don't so let support each other and hope everyone hears a good news.

@Chenny, i think if you have been out of Canada for more than 2 0r 3 month that could be one of the reason for your delay cos as a permanent residence you have to remain in Canada until a visa is issued to your spouse unless for weeks of vacation outside Canada. In my wife's case i think the vo is confuse whether to issue to visa or not cos yesterday was exactly 2 months after my wife was called for an interview.

ok bbccanada, thanks for the information.never knew they check if the sponsor is in the country,i thought it was the immigration in canada that does that.but since i was approved in canada,i felt accra shouldn't make it a big deal or know that i was out.

My husband got his PPR today ;D

The letter was dated January 28th, exactly one week after his file went to "in process", and i got the email for PPR today!

Our timeline :

Received by CPC -M on October 18th 2012
Sponsorship approval on November 8th 2012
File transferred November 8th 2012 (according to letter from CIC)
Ecas showed "in process" as of January 21st 2013
Passport request received January 29th 2013

Mrs.
I am so happy for you!! Congratulations. You must be out of this world thrilled right now!!! Gives me hope that this could be a possibility though I try to keep in mind the year so that I am set up for the wait. But it would be so wonderful if it was sooner as I am going to visit him during the summer, what a gift it would be if he could return back with me then.

All the best to you in this next step in your journey as you plan for his coming! So exciting!

@chenny, i don't know how long you have been ourside of Canada since you sent your application and if you have been out for long then prepare for your refusal letter and not a visa. Someone in the other forum got refused for not staying in canada during sponsorship as a permenant residence. So the option is yours cos they will find out that you are not in Canada.....

holy spirit!!!!!!!.thank you bbccanada.i will rush back to canada asap,in like 2weeks time.i pray i will not receive any badnews.my hubby must not see this post,he will just break down.i will go back to canada asap.im actually schooling here, and the earliest i can make it to canada is in two weeks.all will be well.thank you so very much

Thank you all.

Keep the faith and you good news will come soon.

Hello everyone: my husband has been requested for an interview in Accra in March and was wondering if the Visa is given the same day or do we get notified later and if so, how long of a wait is it usually? ...any information on this subject would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

YES. VISA IS ISSUE SAME DAY AS THE INTERVIEW DAY

Not all cases that the visa is issued the same day as the interview. I was asking the same question before my wife was invited to attend an interview since November and someone told me that in some cases the interview comes at the beginning of the process therefore in that case the they will notify the applicant later. Here we go since November after my wife's interview i havn't heard anything until ecas changed to in process 3 weeks ago. So i mean 2 month after the interview still no decision yet from accra.

Does application status change from decision made to ..............., after it is sent to Accra? Cos av been trying to view my application status since i sent my additional document to Accra using my UCI No, but to no avail, it seems not to recognition it, worried
