Hello all,the AOR is the first response we should expect from CIC right? Does it usually come with approval of sponsor. We applied June 1st. I know it is soon to expect a reply but just wondering.

Some of you have acknowledgement of receipt from Accra? I wonder if my application was lost in the mail because I don't think we got this.

Don't expect any AOR from Accra VO because they are not use to send that but l believe they will attend to NOV/DEC applicant between now and next month maximum August but with God all things are possible for us to get early response.

I believe you need to land with in 6 months of visa issuance.

There are 2 factors to consider viz: The date ur medical will expire (usually 1yr after the tests) and the date ur passport will expire. U must land before anyone that is closer. For example, if ur passport will expire on June 30th,2015 and ur medical will expire on June 29th,2015, u must land before June 29th because it comes earlier than ur passport expiry.
The minimum of 6 months passport validity is more relevant when we submit it for visa issuance.
If u read the letter given with ur visa, same points above are clearly explained. To convince u further, my friend got PR visa in Nov,2012 and did not land until May,2013. Regards

AOR is sent to the sponsor and We received ours about 7 weeks after we submitted the application.
Some have received theirs less than 7 weeks while others more than that but usually should not exceed 90 days.
