Guys
One thing that really infuriates me is the sentence in the letter sent by CHC ND to many applicants who have sent enquiry.
I hate the line in the letter " YOUR APPLICATION COULD TAKE 2 YRS OR MORE TO BE PROCESSED ". This means that they have still not mentioned any fixed time-frame for processing. It could even take 4, 5, 6, 7 or 8 yrs to be processed. ( 2 YEARS IS FROM 2nd AOR, MIND IT ! )
I think that our cases have gone for a TOSS, and i doubt, if they will EVER open our files at all. Though i sincerely wish they do.
I am considering of applying for USA study visa for one year. So hopefully when i complete my studies in the states, i might have got my Canada PR.
Guys, one thing is for sure, we pre-june people who have not yet received MEDICALS, are not going to canada this year.

My deduction is based on personal experience of My cousin sister who is a Registered Nurse in Edmonton and her husband who is a doc

Destination BC,

I have to respectfully disagree with you somewhat about doctors. They have to complete a full residency program to be licensed and only a few are admitted to the programs each year. Things are changing but it is kind of considered a national disgrace that we encourage these people to come and they have so much trouble finding work. None of the them choose to drive taxis. I'm not sure you are correct about the "unions" either but the governing bodies of the professions do have a lot of power. One way Canada is thinking of making it easier for doctors to practice their profession is to get them to agree to work in remote locations that don't have doctors. I am against this as I think it's discriminatory. Doctors are one of the best examples of our non recognition of foreign diplomas. The other hurdle for newcomers is a lack of "Canadian experience."

True and the exact reason for a strong union

To add,

We actually have an acute doctor shortage, particularly outside the major cities. Many people can't find a family doctor, so the fact we have trained doctors driving cabs is very disturbing but quite true. The system has to change.

Illegal immigration is a bad advice and devastating for him and his future

The application options will be limited and usually cooked up storied are floated to get a PR

The legal system there is easily able to see through

Dear All,

Just wanted to share my younger bro experience who is currently in Toronto, Canada. He landed there last week, friday and so far he has come across couple of people who all told him to stay there and not go back (he's on B1/B2 visa, for business trainings). He told me that although it's quite difficult to reach there from outside Canada. However, if u r already into Canada (by any means), than it's not too difficult to settle there. He can't stay there because he's just 23 years and a little scared of the things. But yes, he said Canada is a place where Indians are most respected. Now, he's also trying ways to live there for long....Lets see, aage kya hota hai....

If u guys have anyone known there (consultant or frnd) who can guide him, than pls let me know...
As far as my case is concerned, i got 2nd AOR on 11/02/2011 and my status is still RBVO. Could anyone pls suggest when will this change to in-process.

Many thanks,
AK

He will have to undertake a two year degree course there only them get the PR He will also have to give a test before he is eligible

Destination BC.

My comments were concerning Ontario. The article I posted completely addressed the problem. I'm not aware of a strong doctor's union. But hey, I just live here.

Friends, I do not belong on this site. I am not someone trying to emigrate to Canada, I am a Canadian.

I will of course mail the access to information letter as soon as I can and will let you know what comes back.

Other that than, I'd like to thank all the wonderful people who have had such kind things to say. I don't deserve it.

Nevertheless I feel that I am fighting an uphill battle to defend my country and it's government against bizarre conspiracy theories. I love Canada and hate to read comments about how the government is shafting people. I don't believe it's true, in fact this is the "year of India in Canada." We are having a huge Bollywood thing next weekend in Toronto.

I want to wish everyone here the very best of luck and a quick resolution of your application. I'm sure you will make great citizens.

As for me, I'm going to look for something else to campaign for, maybe helping at the hospital or something.

Be good my friends. I feel I really know some of you. Thanks and goodbye,

MB

hi amitsmeet

i have yet to look in detail for the rules of US study visa and work permit. U mean to say that i will not get a part-time ( 20 hrs a week ) permit to work ? I have many school friends who r in US on student visa and earning decent money working part-time for 20 hrs a week. Atleast they are able to pay for their accomodation and food expenses, by working 20 hrs a week and study the rest of the time. Correct me if i am wrong
