Good info.
+1 to you.

Now that the target is set, ECU may finally issue medicals to us.

Not to mention that 144,000 Pre juners are yet to receive visas and around 9000 families for 2011-2012.
Maybe only 1/2 of Pre Juners may receive visas this year.

CIC has released quarterly data till 31st Dec 2011,
The over all skilled worker inventory is around 160,000 up from 144,000 (excluding pre 2008 applications)

However the annual target for FSW is only 61,000

Talking specifically about NDVO
The inventory levels are as follows :

M1: 18658
M2: 5093
M3: 1963

Total :25714

Last year NDVO has issued about 8122 visas in Skilled worker category
This year it may be up to 9000 ,

But the inventory levels are so high, it may take around 3 years to complete
that is only ifff CIC stops accepting new applications from july 2012,

Many of forum members may perceive my post negative but all this is all based upon facts and figures provided by CIC only ,

I am just wanting to portray the realistic picture to all , we have all seen the fate of pre-2008 people who were all riding on the hopes of positivism for last 8 years but we all know what happened to them .

To be very frank, if CIC doesn't stop in-taking of applications from July 2012 and takes special measures to address these 160000 applications ,
our Canadian hopes will be in dark only.

I wish the Canadian government should seriously look after our concerns and we all get maple leaf very soon

Good luck to all

Could you please post the exact link to the sheet that shows inventory as of Dec 31, 2011?

I am looking at inventory levels as of Oct 2, 2011 and these are the numbers for NDVO (hope I am reading it correctly)

MI-1: 7056
MI-2: 2599
MI-3: 36

Here is the link, look at sheet name "SW-Cases"

SMD you may be correct, as per data published on 06.01.2012, brief summary for NDVO is,

Particulars MI1 MI2 MI3 TOTAL

Cases 7265 2006 803 10074
Persons 18658 5093 1963 25714

As u said annual quota may be maximum up to 9000 VISAS for NDVO.

Now what is the base for visa? persons or cases?

I think you are correct it may be persons who will receive VISA... Others please comment...

honeyjack :)

Dear HoneyJack,

if these is the actual senario - NVDO need to run faster @ the speed of light .

but it also true that NVDO not send single MR to pre june's till date !!!

YWCDI

I think we should look at number of cases. I looked at 2011 data and number of FSW1 cases processed is 57K. So, it is not about people.
Imagine if it is about people, the quota may be over after one person in the family gets the visa.

I think srida is right. FSW quota refers to no. of skilled workers that CIC wants in canada in a particular year. So, the quota must be that of PA and does not include family members. That's what I believe.

unwarranted pondering over nos

i dont see the end use of this discussion

Looks like NDVO has to process around 10K + MI4 applications this year (2012). If their annual quota is around 9k, then most of us could expect visas this year.

Thanks for posting this link. +1

Yes, it doesn't make sense to count school kids as skilled workers. Anyway, let's hope we all get our visas sooner than later :)
