Good !! :D

as per link - 2012 will see a large increase in the issuance of visas from overseas, with total documents rising from 217,800 in 2011 to a projected 255,100 for this year.

Other significant increases have been projected for Federal Skilled Workers (55,900 to 61,000), and Provincial/Quebec Nominees (73,600 to 78,000). In total, overseas visa issuance will rise an impressive 17% for this year.

Good info.
+1 to you.

Now that the target is set, ECU may finally issue medicals to us.

Not to mention that 144,000 Pre juners are yet to receive visas and around 9000 families for 2011-2012.
Maybe only 1/2 of Pre Juners may receive visas this year.

I have also ordered CAIPS last week. BTW what does ECU mean?

ECU is just a department who takes care of sending letters to applicants asking for details like Passport , medical etc.

CIC has released quarterly data till 31st Dec 2011,
The over all skilled worker inventory is around 160,000 up from 144,000 (excluding pre 2008 applications)

However the annual target for FSW is only 61,000

Talking specifically about NDVO
The inventory levels are as follows :

M1: 18658
M2: 5093
M3: 1963

Total :25714

Last year NDVO has issued about 8122 visas in Skilled worker category
This year it may be up to 9000 ,

But the inventory levels are so high, it may take around 3 years to complete
that is only ifff CIC stops accepting new applications from july 2012,

Many of forum members may perceive my post negative but all this is all based upon facts and figures provided by CIC only ,

I am just wanting to portray the realistic picture to all , we have all seen the fate of pre-2008 people who were all riding on the hopes of positivism for last 8 years but we all know what happened to them .

To be very frank, if CIC doesn't stop in-taking of applications from July 2012 and takes special measures to address these 160000 applications ,
our Canadian hopes will be in dark only.

I wish the Canadian government should seriously look after our concerns and we all get maple leaf very soon

Good luck to all

Thanks KDSTTL.

When can we expect MR? I think in May-12, majority of us will receive MR. Whats' your opinion?

You forgot to mention the number of applicants rejected...
I guess the number is quite high.

Most of the blog members (including myself) believe that April will bring cheers as far as MR is concerned.

Most of the rejections happened in 1st quarter of 2012

So the inventory level will definitely go down ,

But i think it would not be more than 30% .
then also it would take at least take 2 years to complete all,
That too ,iff no new applications are accepted from july 2012
