A link which can give you more lights on the processing stuff.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/statistics/data-release/2010-Q4/index.asp

I have already provided the future finance related job requirements in Canada, and how the immigration department is going to process 0111 & 1111. But many of the members here doesn't even care the comments, and run behind what is wrong with the comments than what can they take positive from the comments.

Under Job Requirement for Canada for the new season.

@Mogboy

Really appreciate your efforts. You are not a consultant, and do such free service, do great volunteer work and try to help all the proposed immigrants. Hats off for you. Really look forward for the reply from the Act of Information Canada and waiting for your post. We all need a Canadian Citizen's support.

@odd members on this blog

Very sad that Canada is going to have people like you as their proposed citizens who fights for anything. Comments like Canada is taking application and hold them to make money is totally bizarre. If you feel that Canada is unethical and unsystematic is accepting immigration application and very poor is getting them processed, then better you quit your application and try to settle where you live. Canada never need you.

mogboy -

sir, u r doing a great job.

we sincerely hope ND VO explains the matter, which is not in fore ground till date.

kdsttl

ur research is also very supportive.

see, we can t change any one's mind.

and yes, VO has delayed the processing, although they had mentioned the period for the same in the 2nd AOR.

had they mentioned something in the 2nd AOR, which they r doing now (in CSQs response),
it wud hv been highly appreciated by all the applicants who r in 'pending list'.

such people even do not know, if they wud successfully Qualify for the Visa or not.
I'm one of them.

and why the need for 'Right to info' request (by mogboy) has Arisen ?
bcoz VO has not complied with what they mentioned on the 2nd AOR.

till date, no 'specific time line' has been directed for the applicants who r in 'pending list'.

even the eCAS is not doing the job for what it was created for, by the Canadian Visa authorities.

wish u good luck mogboy.

may we hear a positive news soon.

we all trust Canada and its systems, thats why almost all r keeping the kool and patience,
with a positive outlook.

if We need Canada, Canada also needs us. :)

as both parties need each other, both are supposed to respect each other's sentiments and systems.

From the Research and Statistics : quarterly Adm Data Release;

Section :CIC Permanent Resident Applicants Awaiting a Decision : Key findings:

there has been a consistent & Seady rise in the no. of files in Backlog. (execption year 2009)This can realy raise concerns on the Ruling Party's ability and commitment to reducing backlogs. I hope 2011 figures should be lower due to the MI 2 in effect.

Again Sep 2010 figures of 144,883 files recieved (as most of us are in this category) doesnt reveal the exact figures (as explained in ***Figure does not include all applications received as of September 30, 2010) so its hard to estimate the backlog, ofcourse must be higher than fig stated.

Cases awaiting deciion:

2008: 111,250 (what to say now, can ony empathize these poor chaps)
2009 : 128,769 (again a rise in backlog)
2010: 3,17,933 (a huge rise)
So put together CIC has around roughly 557,952 files as pending decision in MI 1 category.

Comments pls....

That 2008 cases (111250) was under inventory as on Dec 2008 (not as on Dec 2010)
2009 They got many fresh application, and at the end of the year the inventory was 128769.
And to end Sep 2010 it was 144883 (Not all are under Pre June catory, some are under post June)

As you know, after Sep 2010 to March 2011, the processing again was faster. So the 144000 cases which was mentioned on the some of the letters were already come down drastically.

Note: The calculations all are cumulative. Don't get confused.

Ok My apologies in the assumptions;

If we see as cumulative, and re-access the data:
there has been steady rise in the MI 1 files, decision pending, which today is around 173,050.

Now if this was the scenario, why did they keep on accepting fresh applications when MI 2 was under way? (assumption: MI 2 didnt come overnight, it should be a long process)

It it is clear that MI 2 will create backlogs for MI 1..which is happening presently......
And now talks are of MI 3, but can anyone explain what about MI 1???????????

See we are qualified skilled people and not worker/labour category, so the treatment should also be the same.

hi amit
i think u r absolutely right. CHC ND should tell us applicants clearly, whether or not, they are ever going to process our cases or not. because according to LUBOB's post, if we do not get MEDICALS till this year end, then we will face the same fate as PRE-FEB 2007 applicants.

MI-2 & MI-3 all are based on present labor market requirement.

There were lots of applicants who got the visa and been to Canada and returned back as they couldn't find the right job. It might be shocking to know that there were a few Indian doctors who were driving cabs in Toronto as they couldn't get the job (was on the local news papers and they were doing additional courses in the mean-time).

They are introducing MI-3, so that there shouldn't be more disappointed immigrants.

Even Pre Feb 2008, MI-1 application process are going on at the moment and will be processed in due course.

MI-3 will get priority as mentioned earlier. But we are not on hold.

We are not on hold, but we are on semi-hold.

See they cant issue a statement that MI 1 or pre-MI 1 are on hold, because then they will have to face enormous political backlash and even legally challenged amounting to million of CAD$.

So they are keep mum on our files.

As far as the e.g. u quoted KDTLLof Doctors, etc. its a pure cse of immigrants integration. If we need to integrate into any alien society, we need time, efforts, additional knowledge, add. education, skills, adaptability doesnt come overnight.

I hardly believe tht many immigrants have returned back, of coure if they were in higher age brackets, then adaptability will be an issue, other wise, those who have worked in Indian & Chinese environment, end to easily settle & infact make a handsome living in Canadian Economy.

No need to feel that we are on semi-hold yaar.

As mentioned earlier 144000 cases shown as pending at VO's were to end Sep 2010 and we all knew that many pre June applications were processed for the period Oct - Mar 2011. Then only we felt the sudden stop.

So the pending inventory as on date is definitely not 144000 and it has come down.

If you look at Research and Statistics : quarterly Adm Data Release, you can see that the inventory of even pre Feb and pre June has come down.

Eagerly looking for comments from Mogboy who can get us more factual data.

Looking at the figures over the past few years I would say that Canada has done a fantastic job of processing an amazing number of applications. It seems to me that there is no hold for any group, but that the newer job categories are treated as more of a priority since those are the jobs we need. M1 and M2 are still being processed as far as I can see. Canada does have a right to pick and choose whom it lets in and if it decides that your job category is no longer a priority I'm not sure you will get much public, political or judicial sympathy. Personally, I found the numbers encouraging.

I do feel that Canada could do a better job in explaining the assessment of qualifications and some people really are working at jobs way below their training. There are efforts underway politically to change this and to allow people such as doctors to get into their fields quicker.

I don't think many people go home, but I do think some struggle.

Some of the comments here would suggest that coming to Canada is a right, it's not, it's a privilege that many around the world would envy. All of you have already been accepted. All you have to do is be patient. Who says that no medical this year means you will not get in? I believe you will all be processed in due course but for heaven's sake give the process a break - it's overwhelmed.

Moboy, I agree with u.
Canada has a right to pick and choose no., type and quality of immigrants it wants..... And here we are, a bunch of professionaly qualified and experience prospective immigrants, apporved by CIO, waiting for just a confirmation, which may be a miniscule task for the VO, but of herculean importance to us as our fate lies unwarranted, nearly 9 months more time of what was committed (in written) and still more time to go.

Our processings has been "suspended animated".

And amongst all this, a revert from VO that it'll 2 years or more...is this a joke.

If Canada Immigration Department keeps this kind of attitude, than no longer will be a time when they will be mandated to add a Statutory Warning : "The procesing time lines for Canadian Immigration may take more time than initially committed and the rules are subject to change without prior notice."..or may be somethig like that sort....

Amitsmeet,

Trust me, I am nothing if not sympathetic and I understand how hard it is to wait month after month with no positive response. But can you think of any other desirable country that does it better? It's not a miniscule task when you are dealing with about a million applicants.

I truly think you will be here way before you expect, so chin up and start packing. You will be a landed immigrant before you know it and a Canadian citizen in four years. Then like many other new immigrants you will probably be calling for a halt. Life is weird.
