By the grace of God I have now received my visa. Maple leave is shining on our passports. Canadian Embassy in AUH is very efficient. I submitted my passport Monday morning (in person) and Aramex has now delivered me the passports back with visa affixed on Tuesday afternoon.

I have a question, in the envelope received, they have returned 2 pictures of each applicant, is this normal? :-\ As required in PPR document from PVO I provided them with 3 passport pictures for each applicant, one of which has been pasted on the COPR (CIC copy) by them whereas the other two has been returned .... Please share your comments. Thanks.

Dear All..

Alhamdulillah , just 30 minutes back , I have received our passport back with CANADA IMMGRATION visa.

Its party time.

My special thanks goes to SMSH,JAMY , Destination Canada and others.

They issue the visa from London and then send to abudhabi Canada high commission and from there I received our passport back by ARAMEX.

I would like inform you all for the following incident happened for a PR holder and need your input on this.

one of my friend's cousin got PR card (with family) 1 year back. and the principal applicant stayed over in Canada and family came back along with PR card to Lebanon.

last month the family tried to move back to Canada and on airport immigration, they returned them back to Lebanon. and the cause they said that, as the family stayed more than 6 month continuous outside of Canada from their first landing , they cannot re-enter.

This is strange. What I read is that You have to stay 2 years out of 5 years to retain PR

If this is true then we must take it serious and should move to Canada one way and stay outside Canada for few weeks when necessary may be this some kind of new rule

Like when they entered and how long they stayed and when they tried to enter canada

It clearly states that one has to live in Canada to live for 2 years out of 5 years to retain PR.

Please ask this question when you will attend "Canadian Pre Departure Seminar" , or you can drop an email to any lawyer in Canada.
My friend got PR in July-2013 , is out of Canada sinec , he is planning to be back in August 2014 , I believe there must not be an issue
.

Any how this is a very serious matter , you must get a professional advice , drop an email to David Cohen , the one who owns thir forum , or visit any registered canadian immigration consultant in your city
