Hello experts,
I am silent member of this form. This form is really useful. I appreciate everyone for their contributions...
I passed through medical exam on 7 Jan' 13 at Lahore and still waiting for Passport request 1/2. I contacted with LVO and received a reply that my background checks are still undergoing and have no idea when it would be completed... my e-CAS is still showing 'IN-PROCESS'.
Please reply with your feedback if you are facing or already faced similar situation... What do you think when I would get my Passport request 1/2?
Good Luck to all,
Hina

Average time for Background checks is from 3 to 6 months. But it may take longer than this and sometimes more than a year (like in case of Drooza).

But again it depends on case to case basis. Some people got it quickly even less than a month (example is cocknbull).

Also for female principal applicants (example is hinnajamal), CIC is not very strict as compared to male applicants.

This number is matching the MI1 pending persons at LVO as of jan 2013. Hopefully all MI01 cases will get through this year. InshahAllah

Looking at the numbers, it seems that 14,000 FSW applications will be decided by LVO. Does the figure of 14,000 include dependents or not???????? Its very quiet from LVO these days. No update, no medical. Its very frustrating.

Then what will happen to Pre-2008 remaining cases, MI-2 and MI-3 cases whose final decision is pending only and they are approx. 7000 persons? IMO they will finalize cases where final decision is pending in parallel Pre-2008(2492)+MI (6868+PVO)+MI2 (2265)+MI3 (2375).

Good news is they increased the visa quota and everybody will hear about the next step in their application by late 2013 or early 2014 . The remaining MI-1 applicants whose visa will be issued from 2014 quota should get the most awaited news by late 2013 / early 2014 which is in line with 18 months wait letter.

Now since the quota is announced, hopefully within next 2 months we will see many good news on the forum. keep checking your mail box.

oh yes this is just my opinion..........
