Jimmy I am not sure about the limit but even not bothered as APNAI do not follow RULES,REGULATIONS, LAW or LIMITS. So would not be an issue. Your concern is genuine and appreciate that you want to be a law abiding citizen. bottom line we will not be taking out money from the country but rather something for our initial few months. POF.....

Its a default requirement to submit POF when you update you new born child....I updated my youngest daughter details last week. Even though I have already met the POF requirements I did sent another POF statement in order to avoid further corresponding from CHC LVO and cause further delay.
But use common sense they do need POF else how will they know u have met the financial criteria.

Also be advised DO NOT TOUCH POF at any level of time till you reach Canada...its not worth jeopardizing your stake of wait for all these years just for one foolish so called intelligence.

That's my advice other may differ....

As we all know, "pakistan airport says u cannot carry more than 10,000 dollars in cash".....I have always assumed that this 10K dollars limit is per person n not entire family....so, even if wat I assume is correct, that means a family of 3 can carry 30K dollars in cash (but not more than that) from pak airport , correct??

Also, Does anyone ACTUALLY know anyone who actually toook ALL cash (more than 10,000 dollars) from Pakistan airport ??? Everyone I know always kept below 10,000 in cash and rest in draft form coz they said u cannot carry more than 10K dollars even if u are 5 family members (which I thought was not correct)...but I'm asking to be on the safe side, incase if someone wants to carry ALL 30K cash....

Pls see point # 10 section "f", per person max. US$ 10K or equivalent.

Note: Definition of person should be per passport (not sure allowed to only Adult or Child as well)

It's not necessary to provide updated POF at the time of adding new born to the file.

In my case I sent a CSI and inquired about adding new born to the file and in reply visa officer advised me the following
- processing fee of the child
- birth certificate
- copy of valid passport of the child
- updated IMM0008 for yourself and updated IMM5406 "Additional Family Information" form for yourself and your spouse

and last week I have mailed them all the required documents as per their instruction.

you are right ,limit of 10,000 is per adult person and 4 to 5 per minor .calculation is not the big deal .however you know carrying a lot of cash is always risky !!!!!

True...safest bet (considering safe keeping + vague paki airport rules) is "carry less than 10K dollars cash and rest in draft"...chalo--pehley time to aye....
