I did my medicals on Oct/11th/2013 and sent all requested documents & fee next day. My doctor sent e-medicals Oct/15th/2013. My e-cas is not updated with medicals til yesterday. Yesterday, I sent e-mail (E-mail: LDNIMMIGRATION @ international.gc.ca) asking for updated information on my medicals and other documents & fee.Today, I got reply as below

Please be advised that medical examination results have been received and updated in our system. The results are valid until 2014/10/23.

The documents and fees have been received and your file is due for review shortly. Once this review is complete, we will be in contact with further information.

I already sent 3 mails before regarding different issues such as medical doubts and updates. My visa officer(JMR) replied with in 1-2 days.
Just want share with you guys. if anybody doubt about anything, I suggest to e-mail to LVO to remind them about your case.

today, my E-cas updated with medicals.

That sound good (your file is due for review shortly) it means thoz who already did medical in Sep/Oct have bright chance to get Visa in 2013 itself insha Allah
for me meds done on 7 Oct and e-CAS was updated within 7 days.....fingers crossed and praying to Allah for further quick PPR and Visa.....
I also pray for all waiting for their next steps that may Allah accept our all prayers and give us relief from this waiting stress....

I would like to add one thing in this. If anyone has ordered CAIPS/GCMS after the medicals and after the commencement of the background checks please let us know if they sets another BFD after the medicals and after the initiation of the background checks? In, my opinion, if any BFD is set then most probably, that guy gets his PPR1 on that date provided that the background checks are completed. But this is my guess, want someone who can confirm this.

i have ordered and received my GCMS twice after the medicals. in both cases security check is not complete (is blank in one and not started in another one). still no PPR.

i am sure that once the BG check / security check is complete the BFD will be for PPR. i think they dont make the BG check / security complete unless they are ready to issue the PPR.

Please correct me if i am wrong. The above statement shows that even after the medicals and starting of the background checks, they still mentioned a BFDATE?(either they have worked it on it or not due to the strike)

Yes my BFDate was in Aug and I got my Caips in early oct and the same date
