Buying CAD$ is very tricky. Pakistanis who are already in canada suggest buying USD rather than chasing for CADs . In Canada, one can easily get CADs in exchange and current run rate there is 1.04 USD = 1 CAD.

My suggestion would be to get handsome CAD to survive for atleast 3-4 days. For rest of your savings, try buying USD in bulk. My guess, you can get very good exchange rate then.

You can automate alerts on changes made in SMSH sheet in 24 hours, like I have done it for me. Everytime SMSH updates the sheet, I get an alert with highlighted rows and columns changed in last 24 hours.

How to:

Go to same SMSH google sheet and in the header link you'll find "Tools" . Click it and then go to "Notification Rules". In popup box, "Add Notification rule" . In options select "Any changes are made" and "Email Daily Digest". Then click "Done".

For activating email alert for you, you should have gmail account already logged in.

It was my bfd today. Yesterday I sent csi and got following reply:

Your file is still undergoing background checks. Please be advised that this is a lengthy process, whilst we understand that you are eager to travel to Canada and establish with your family as permanent residents, background checks are a mandatory part of the application process and can not be expedited. Once the process is complete we will be in contact with been further instructions with the processing of your file.

This reply means no update for those applicants who got udr in October 12.

The news already started June but it will not be storm like happened last year in oct, today one more applicant with 18 month letter from Britain got MR after e file and pcc asked a couple of months ago, I think it will continue at this pace

yes you are right, i am also with you in terms of timeline, and i also did not get any b to e file change and i am sure the MR rain is not going to happen this year and the year to follow because the MR scattered shower has already started a long ago and i am afraid that it will stay that way, so what i mean is their wont be any.....

"MR monsoon has started at NDVO" like here for us, unfortunately. the pattern seems to have changed and it will be extremely slow process of getting MR for each one of us, one by one, not in a bunch, i guess, i hope so much that i am completely proven wrong and MR thunderstorm starts very soon.

Yar I don't know about this but I still feel that e file holders have some chance this year , hopefully next week we will witness something
