In the automated acknowledgement mail to my CSE, they have clearly stated in English and French:

The London visa office has received your email. We'll reply within 28 days. Don't resend your enquiry. We reply first to emails we consider urgent where the urgency is stated clearly. We only reply to case status enquiries if the processing time shown on www.UnitedKingdom.gc.ca (not
www.cic.gc.ca) has passed. If you've submitted new information, we'll update your file without replying.

If you use these information as a tip while you prepare the content of your CSE, I believe you might get a faster response.

I have sent them inquiry on the 9th of July and haven't had anything back from them apart from the automated reply above ...
On Tuesday it will be 28 calendar days since I have sent them a mail, and I am not sure if I should chase them up again or wait?

Jamshied Babu, there is no any UK FSW processing time, separate as it was previously, now it is on the main cic.gc.ca.

as per auto reply 28 days but actually it take more or less, automated reply has nothing to do with LVO working style. be patient, u will get reply.
FACT is this that they dont have any thing to reply now they will start any activity on ur file and then they will write u. if u want to verify, go for GCMS, u will find the activity generated on the same day, they will reply. nekeol

It must be 28 calendar days / 4 weeks. However, the point I tried to make there was about highlighting the 'Urgency' of your Enquiry. I did clearly state my urgency in my CSE and did get a positive outcome within a few days from the date I received the automated mail.

In your case, have you heard anything from them after filing your application? I would suggest you to 'Wait' before you send them another CSE.

Now LVO even stopped replying csi which mean they have diverted all resources to student and visit visa as the contract staff is on strike.
